the variance in turbo feels really high compared to the non turbos...
where to make the most profit? multi tabling nonturbos? single playin turbos?
livb112, Imthefranchise etc...bballer88 are playin turbos mainly... they are one of the greatest but their ROI is more like 5%
croixdawg is playin mainly playin nonturbo and his ROI is closer to 10% ...so ....who should I try to copy?
lol
Whoever you're comfortable copying ;)
Plenty of guys play both and do great at them. Croix plays a lot more turbos than he ever did now. Same with a player like Dibasio. Livb and the rest of course play turbos.
If you're having trouble getting comfortable with variance, I'd suggest playing regular speeds and/or playing lower for awhile. It's a lot easier to transition from one to the other once you are good and playing higher stakes, as many of the high stakes players regularly play both. It also helps that you can get action from fish in both speeds if necessary. But if one were completely better than the other, you would see everybody in those games. There are more good players in the turbos but that's bc there are more fish in them and they are faster games.
The average person sitting with you in regular speeds at high stakes is very fishy, the only problem is it sometimes takes awhile to get a game at that level, so that cuts into your time.
Mix is the trix!
cheers!
Also, am I right in thinking multitabling regular speeds would actually be harder than multitabling turbos? I mean since you are playing more deep stacked play, you really need to be thinking that bit harder to make the higher ROI % I would have thought. I could be wrong.

turbo or non the strategy seems the same ...the difference is the timing so multi tabling on normal speed is easier than multi tablin on turbos ...cause it just allow you more time . you also have time to see more cards and the luck factor drop down a bit
I find it easier to do regular speeds.
Deep stacked play is often more "standard" in my mind, though ironically enough I'd say I'm weakest deep in husngs. You're often playing totally "default" without reads when deeper stacked the first 10 minutes or so of play compared to the mid to end game when it's way more opponent dependent.
Plus it's probably more correct to be nittier and tighter in regular speeds (at least in general, obv a weak player is a weak player and you run them over in any structure), at least the biggest regular speed winners are a lot nittier than I can seem to get myself to be in regular speed games.
Throw in a slower "time" for the hands being dealt on Stars and I feel like I can do 3 regular speed tables the same as I would 2 turbos.
Thats interesting, I will have to try out non-turbos a bit over the next couple of weeks.

Yea i was playing nonturbo's mainly and this year i started with more turbo's. Ofcourse there is more variance in turbo's but im able to get enough games which wasnt possible with the reg speeds with tons regular players lining up.
My stats of 2009 show the difference in ROI:
Reg speed:
diBasio

$51
$388

$40,085
Turbo speed:
