hey dudes,
ive been a high volume high stakes tourney donk for like a year and a half.....so i monkey shove enough. but this nash's equilibrium chart blows my mind a bit.
hit some pretty hag variance while applying it - and im obv not questioning his math - but maybe its application? mainly, do you guys stray from it and adjust according to how wide he's calling you? cause that would almost be counter intuitive?
think it was in a skates video, but watching a good player with an edge call off with q t sooted seems kinda bleh.......but i do suck at math......and i m a serious roach in mtts......
i guess my brain is overwhelmed ..........any help is much appriciated.
If he is shoving exceptionally wide then you can call wider, or if he is shoving an exceptionally tight range then you should call a tighter range. Additionally, if he is calling exceptionally light then you should shove a tighter range, or if he is exceptionally tight then you should be shoving a wider range. The deeper you are the more these adaptations should apply.
I am worried about this advice causing you to deviate from the chart more than necessary though.
i see......thanks for the shout
and its variations are slight at best?......maybe a couple bbs here and there based on sound reads?
i mean the shoving ranges make a lot more practical sense than some of the calling ranges.......calling off some off the j10 's, 10 9 ' s, etc.....just seems slightly too deep......but i certainly see its an adjustment i should make accordingly.

The calling ranges are where you will stray from the most.
I explain some of this in relation to heads up sngs in video 09 of mine, but basically the shoving ranges are fine (slight adjustments here or there) and the calling ranges are too loose vs most players. You also don't want to be using the chart 15+ bbs and usually only 10-12 bbs deep or less.
will definately check that out.
cheers!
