3betting Preflop

Hey guys, iam just playing the very low turbo hu sng stakes on stars and my question is about 3betting preflop.I think i 3bet too less. I mostly 3bet when i also would call a shove from villian.Means mostly 77+,Aqs+,Ako+ sometimes Aj if villian is very aggresssiv. So i dont do 3bet bluffs. I think there is no need now to 3bet 54s or sth.Whats your opinion of 3betting preflop and why and when are you doing it? Is there maybe a good video for Standard member?greetzp.s: sorry for my bad english, iam from germany ;)

That's a pretty tight range

That's a pretty tight range for sure, LOL, there are several things you want to keep in mind though when coming up with ranges for this.  If the opponent folds too much to 3 bets you want to 3 bet more of course, if he's loose then you want to look to get better hands in there against him, remember that you're OOP and don't want to be getting called with better ranges unless you're making enough of a profit with his folds to justify it, I don't think a lot of players think enough about this actually.  The post flop dynamic is going to factor into this a lot as well, if he's aggressive you want to 3 bet less since he's got position on you and will be taking pots down a lot, if he's tight and you can take a lot of pots down you want to 3 bet more.  If the player is loose post flop you may want to see more flops with him and not get him to fold too much with your stronger hands, especially ones that may dominate him.  You should also look to balance your ranges here, throw in some suited connectors in there, that's more important later on when you move up but it's a good habit to get into, you can't go too far wrong here for now as your cards will be live and by increasing your 3 betting frequency you can set yourself up to get called more with your bigger hands.  Of course the 4 bet dynamic is going to factor into this as well but unless the guy is 4 betting a ton there's no reason to stick to the top of your range like this.
