villain is tight passive and i have a loose aggressive image, i expected him to have a weak ace or at worse the king with a good kicker.is this a good spot to value bet the river or should we check back this hand/board? i must have waited 10 seconds b4 value betting river as i wasn't certain he would call with worse. idk, thoughts?i moved down to the $10's, wasn't beating the 20's so i think i am miss-playing many hands. No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players$10.00+$0.50 Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter SBHero1770 BBOrlach1230 Effective Stacks: 62bb Blinds 10/20 Pre-Flop (30, 2 players) Hero is SB Hero raises to 60, Orlach calls 40 Flop (120, 2 players) Orlach checks, Hero bets 80, Orlach calls 80 Turn (280, 2 players) Orlach checks, Hero bets 150, Orlach calls 150 River (580, 2 players) Orlach checks, Hero bets 250, ...
i'd value bet this river all day versus a tight passive because for him to call two streets looks like Ax and i assume we exspect for him to 3bet AK,AQ so our we are outkicking him if he got the ace. Kx can be possible to here but not sure if he calls river with it. but i'd still bet to get vlaue fom Ax.
here is the problem that i see... how likely is it for a tight/passive to call with worse for this bet to be +EV? i have a hard time answering that question tbh. i wonder if he only calls with A9, maybe A7 and folds out worse. then in the rare cases where he makes 2pair or better i am giving away chips.idk, i have much to learn apparently.
if u think like that would u 3 barrel here something like 90% of the time with air as u should? Bet turn bigger and pretty much always bet river for value.
Def Value bet. Calling ranges in Hu SNGs are wider than you might think. There are the Ax Hands you beat, second pair could call + add a 15% "wtf did he really call with that?" range.Agree in checking this hand behind at a brick and mortar 9-max 1/2$ game full of regulars on Tuesday afternoon somwhere in Vegas Downtown, but definitively not at HUSNGs
