Don't really know how to ask this so apologize if the question seems "stupid"
What do you pros think the biggest differences with the dirrent structures are?
I did quite well in the 350 HU 5+0.25 at PokerStars SnGs (small sample i know) but i absolutely sucked at the turbos for some reason (maybe i was to passive).
I have bought the beginner vide pack after this and have tried to adjust while i try out the 5+0.25 HU SnGs at FullTilt (only 80 this far so way to small sample).
I feal that before my adjustments (getting way for aggreesive on SB, adjusting raise size, raising around 70% instead of 40%) I seemed to have big problems on the Turbos since it comes to Jam/Fold so quickly.
The normals on FullTilt also seem to arrive to Jam/Fold really quickly compared to the normals at PS.
Have not tried the normals at PS with my adjustments though....
So do you prefer the slower PS structure or the much faster FullTiltand why?
The only real major difference between optimal plays in the PokerStars and Full Tilt turbos is that on PokerStars you have to start 75BB deep and on Full Tilt turbos you never start deeper than 50BB. You should't be adjusting your entire game just because the blinds are going to go up. You can treat the game on a hand-by-hand basis. If you are having a lot of trouble in one or the other, it may imply that you struggle at a certain blind level. Being 50BB deep on PokerStars is the same thing as being 50BB deep on Full Tilt. It also doesn't matter if you are 50BB deep and the blinds are going up in 30 seconds or if you are 50BB deep and the blinds are going up in two hours. You need to deal with each hand as its own situation.
If you are struggling with the shove/fold aspects of the game then you should really strongly consider sticking to non-turbos until you improve in this area. The non-turbos will spend more time with deeper stacks and less time dealing with shove ranges.
Edit: I'm pretty sure the PokerStars non-turbos are the slowest.
There is only 95 HU SnGs in my FullTilt database but i can see i have lots of troubles with 0-50 BB and for some reason 85-115 BB.
Probably for not adjusting enough to limping calling stations, have started to re-riase the limpers much more often.
I also probably need to improve my hand reading skills (I can't always fold on a three flush board or when a straight draw hits) but when the donks call you AK raise with T5 and flop comes TA5 rainbow it is going to hurt ;)
Well i am still a beginner with much much to learn....
95 games is a ridiculously small sample. I think that you should be focusing a lot more on just playing more games and looking to improve in general. The statistics you can pull from a sample this size are going to have so much variance that you won't be able to pull any useful information.
For example, if I look at my past 95 games I might find that I am good 0-18BB deep and bad 34-50BB. If I look at my next 95 games I might see that I am good 15-28BB deep and bad at the rest of the levels. The statistics will be too random to really get anything valuable from it.
