Spin & Go Strategy

Hi,

is there any content out there about strategy/ranges in Spin & Go SNGs?

I'm especially talking about 3-handed play, as for two players remaining we can play just like in a normal HU SNG. As I see the ranges overall should be pretty similar to those in HU Hypers, but I am not sure because I've almost never been playing anything else than HU Hypers.

Best regards

Not sure about the strategy...

I suspect this may need some ICMizer work and I haven't seen anything about it just yet.

The reason I came to respond however was just to bring your attention to Masuronike's (high stakes HUSNG reg) blog - he explains in great detail why spin & go's are not a profitable game without winning the lottery at the start of the game which is of course beyond control:

Of course if you are playing these for fun then fire away - it is not mine or anyone else's business what games people do or don't play, however I thought this information might be useful just in case you were seeking to play these long-term to consistently profit.

Good luck!

Thank you for your answer and

Thank you for your answer and the link. I read the blog post from masuronike and aggree in most of his parts. As a Hyper HU Player of course I wish Stars would not have introduced these Spin & Gos, but now there they are. Just thought about their profitability because those games are very soft at the moment (just played 3 of them by now to try them out, some other guys already played more).

And virtually vice versa we have the situation on HU Hypers, where the action on $30+ is steadily decreasing and we already have to deal with 20+ waitlists on $15-Games at the moment. I don't really see Spin & Gos as an alternative because of the insane variance and I am not even sure whether they are - despite of their fishyness- that easy beatable, at least not without massive swings I think.

Just thought maybe somebody is having kind of a "bigger" samplesize (maybe on FTP) or there is a strategy you can look at. Anyway still seeing them as some kind of gamble in between times, actually not that what we want to play on Pokerstars for.

Spin & go dominant strategy solved

Current dominant strategy is:

- Spin big multiples

- Run good

- Win matches

- Berate your opponents

And if your opponents offer you a deal, NEVER SURRENDER!

I know a good breakeven

I know a good breakeven strategy for this: Don't play them! (and maybe, if there will be no action, the recreational players will realize too, that these tourneys sucks)
