First of all compliments for this site! I really learn a lot from the vids and also from the comprehensive given answers on the forum.
I had a question regarding the videos. Because of my job I will be a lot on the road. Therefore I would like to watch the videos on something like an I-pod or something.
I am totally a rookie when it comes down to I-pods, converting etc, so I hope someone can help me with this.
Is it possible to watch the videos on a I-pod or some other compact device? If so, what do I have to do to convert this video format into a format compatible for an I-pod or such device?
At this moment I don't have an I-pod or something, but if it is possible to watch the videos on that then I will buy one.
I hope someone can tell me a little bit more about this. Thanks in advance!

I admit, it's an issue I am not 100% positive on at the moment.
I do believe user Radeh knows about converting the videos into Ipod format, I will find out from him ASAP.
Radeh replied to another person in our 2p2 thread requesting Ipod formats. Here is his reply in full:
"Best program imo is Xilisoft Video Converter. It's cheap, and if you search the net you'll find a "free" version. Very easy to use, tons of presets for different Ipods and other mobile players."
I'll still ask him to take a look at this thread and offer any other advice he might have.

This is a program that will convert any file to any other. Download each file first, then drag and drop on to the little window. Choose Convert to Ipod and use the defaults for the rest EASY!
I would say get the best you can afford, I have a Classic 160GB Ipod, I also have a TV Output lead. This allows me to plug my Ipod into a tv and watch videos galore, either on the little screen or on a TV wherever I am ! Buy the cable from apple at £30
best thing I ever bought honestly. I have 100 hours of video/10000 songs/audio on it, great for train journeys, I also bought an FM transmitter, so I can listen to it in the car!
Both, cymonguk's suggestion and Xilisoft's converter work perfectly, and the conversion process doesn't take long at all. Keep in mind though, that it's only really worth for single table videos, because otherwise you won't be able to see the bet amounts. I personally prefer Xilisoft's solution because it has presets for pretty much any format you can imagine, even Nokia phones and some formats I've never heard of.
I haven't used cymonguk's program too often, but if you have any questions regarding Xilisoft's converter, just post 'em here. You can also download the trial version, and then visit www.serials.ws ...figure out the rest yourself ;)

Although I no longer use it as I have a Mac and use other software which is similar to Xilisoft (but only cost $30), plus I have a hardware solution for converting video (so it doesn't use any processor power).
I use this program and it works great, but ditto on watching one table video that are full screen. All of Croix's earlier stuff is not good for ipods. I also use it to convert to Apple TV so I can watch videos on the 40" LCD in my living room, baller IMO.

I have used Xilisoft which works pretty fine, but I only can't see the bet amounts. Since I understood that should be possible to see, I think I have choosen maybe the wrong format to convert to.
I have tried:
iPod(320x240)MPEG-4 Normal and iPod Video(640x480)MPEG-4 Normal.
At the last one it was even harder to see the details.
Can someone give me advice about the format I have to choose to convert to?

I know you're gonna hate hearing this, but I would have gone for the Ipod Touch if you are seriously going to watch videos on it. The screen is significantly larger. Also, if you "double-tab" the screen, it should zoom in a bit, which makes it easier to read the bet amounts.
Try both formats, and see which one works better for you: 320x240 and the 640x480. The first one will be clearly better because the higher the resolution, the smaller the text size. It's similar on your regular computer.
Unfortunately I don't own an Ipod Classic anymore, so there's not much else I can help you with.
PS: You could try to exchange the Ipod Classic if you bought it at a store. Tell them it was a present, and you already have one, but would be willing to exchange it for an Ipod Touch...better act quickly though.

I haven't got an ipod yet, but plan on getting on very soon.
I have that program that you (Radeh) recomended to me a while ago - download helper on firefox - I got an add-on for it called download converter (I think) - this seems to have the same presets as what you mentioned above and is also free. Will this do just as good a job do you know? or is it also worthwhile getting the one you have above?

If it's an add-on called "Media Converter", then it only works when you're trying to convert flash videos to other formats. husng.com doesn't offer videos as flash (like the academy, CR, DC does), so I don't think it works. If you meant another add-on, let me know and I'll check it out...
Just use Super Video Converter if you want a free converter. Here's a quick guide ;)
DownloadHelper, the Firefox add-on, rocks though!! It'll allow you to download any flash videos, including CR videos...quite cool if you're pissed off by DRM and missing Ipod videos ;)
