suggestion for HUSNG! new instructor

do you guys have any plan to hire any mid steak regular?
almost every instructors in HUSNG is 3- digit buy ins regulars
Its obvious there were mid steak regulars in the past
but I think most of HUSNG students are playing mid-low steak
such as from 22 to 88
so are there any plan to hire mid steak regulars?
such as Mad-shoe-ter Darsy in ps
patrickbaitman The Lion in FT
I played some of them and sharkscope them
and there AV steak is about mid steak and play really well for a long time
I think it is really hard to hire one of them but if it will happen then it will be really awesome
and +ev for the site too.

We've hired somebody that

We've hired somebody that fits that description.  I think you'll all be very pleased.
I'm not going to talk about it anymore until his videos are ready, but this is a semi-void we realized last month and began a most extensive search for somebody.
Until then, I regularly coach players that play 5-33s (sometimes higher but I'd say 80% of my students are at those levels) so even though I may not play a lot of games at the lower stakes, I am very familiar with them.
I believe this is also at least partially true for Primo and xSCWx.
Thanks for the input and suggestion, it is always appreciated and this particular request should be filled sometime this month.

The thing that makes hiring

The thing that makes hiring mid-stakes regulars the most difficult is that the best players almost always move up to higher stakes. I'm sure we can come up with something though.

Kind of in line with what

Kind of in line with what xSCWx said, I never understood why a consistantly winning player would stay at the mid stakes.  If their graph is going up and they play well enough to be a mid-stakes coach, then why haven't they moved up?

I think some players might

I think some players might just stay in mid steak because they make enough money and satisfied for just playing mid steak?
I sharkscope patrickbaitman he plays at FT and he plays more than 16,000 games which are really huge volume compare to any HUSNG players and his AV steaks are $ 53 and I checked the graph and his 85-90% are 55's buy in. I sharkscope him again with last 3 months result and it shows 2100 games
11% ROI and making $12,000. $4000 and plus rakeback per month might satisfied him guess he plays 700 games per month then it will be around 2 years. He plays only mid steak for almost 2 years and making $66,000 which is great I think I am not him so I dont know what he is thinking about but I guess he really comfortable with this buy in with much less stress than higher steak plus it is much more +ev action compare to risk his money to higher steak with low ROI

It isn't that he isn't

It isn't that he isn't making a decent amount of money, but the fact that he hasn't moved up has almost unquestionably hurt his return. He is making an average of $4-5/game with rakeback at the stakes he is playing. If he had been playing $230s with 2% ROI and rakeback he would be making $7-8/game. His lack of ambition is almost undoubtedly a bigger leak in his earnings than anything in his actual game.

Regardless, we have somebody hired that should work out well.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Also understand people could

Also understand people could have a family, house, tons of expenses, etc., where $66k / yr isnt a TON of $$$, and the majority of it isnt going towards his bankroll, in a situation like this where you are ABSOLUTELY dependent on your $$$ to support yourself in others, I can understand him keeping a very deep bankroll and being very hesitant to move up, if he has like 80% of his profit per month in expenses and savings, then it makes sense that he will be staying at these limits for a long time until his BR is at a comfortable level for him to move up

Yea, a lot of the mental

Yea, a lot of the mental toughness people develop in poker comes with getting used to handling huge money swings so even a great mid stakes player isn't usually going to have that.
When you have a mortgage to pay and kids to feed it's going to be very tough to justify moving up and risking a month of little to no profit.
Now a lot of this can possibly be avoided by very good money management, but even a good money manager may not even take that risk.  You'd certainly want to have at least a few months of expenses set aside and even some sort of emergency fund if you were going to play for a living and had a lot of expenses and especially dependents.  It's a good idea anyways, but pretty much required for any serious father and husband.
