Do you guys think there's any money to be made in these or is it too much of a crapshoot? They have 1500 starting stack and 1 minute levels: 10/20, 20/40, 30/60, 50/100, 100/200, 150/300 etc. The rake is really small, 22+1, 33+1.5 and so on. The villain seem to be pretty bad at the lower levels and don't seem to understand pushing/calling ranges in the endgame. And as for the general strategy at high blinds, should I just SAGE the shit out of them with slight adjustment based on the opponent?
These look like they could be great for strong mid/end game players and/or multi tablers.
You can get a ton of games in with this structure with a healthy enough edge if you're strong in the latter parts of a husng.
The rake part seems to line up with that of other major sites, so I don't think there is any rake discount.
The Cereus Network (Absolute and Ultimate Bet) has a similar structure, but not quite as fast - blinds start at 5/10 and go up every 2 minutes in their Ultra-Turbos and you can choose between 1500 and 500 chips starting stacks.
I played a few on them on the $50 level at the end of last month to quickly accumulate the points for their Diamond Elite status, but then decided not to play them anymore - variance is just way too high for me. Maybe that's due to leaks in my endgame, but I just feel like you can easily have swings of 10+ buy-ins - and my variance got down significantly since I went back to playing $100 Turbo's, they have 5 minute blind levels, so you have some time to get reads on your opponent and the deepstacked part of the game is also a lot longer, do you don't get into jam/fold that often.
