I really want to play hu sng plo but I don`t know what and how. How is the variance and where should I learn this type of game? Can anybody give me a bite? :)
HU SNG PLO is great. I've been playing HUNLHE for over a year then early in 2009 I switched to PLO. There are lots of people who don't know the fundamentals still and I find several games, even at the higher stakes where I am getting my money in at least 70%.
Despite my big losing month, I've been a solid winner at the $20, $30, $50, and $100 levels.
The variance is harder to handle: you definitely see more cooler situations (like set over set/ wrap &flush draw vs. set) than you do in NLHE. However, board reading and bluffing skills you've learned in NLHE apply very well in PLO.
Small piece of advice before I stop rambling is learn how to bluff in PLO and how to represent hands. Many players at the lower levels only play the nuts and you can steal a lot of pots.

Thanks for posting this, thought about playing PLO but...
Greetings TCDynansty,
Thank you for posting your experience,
I don't think I've played one of these pot limit (Holdem) games in years. What you said about the typical opponent at these games makes good intuitive sense. My guess would be that somebody who joins a Pot Limit game would be less aggressive, more cautious, and possibly a bit more patient then a typical No Limit player.
A few months ago (before I joined HUSNG) I had moderate success playing Pot Limit Omaha 8 and Pot Limit Omaha. There were more nits then I expected. But, it's probably not worth making huge generalizations as we are talking about different games (Omaha Vs. Holdem). I'm going to take your advice and test the waters. I've always enjoyed Pot Limit Holdem as much as No Limit Holdem, so this could be a worthwhile investigation.
And you weren't rambling. If you want to see a ramble read one of my posts ;-)
