Slatey, there is a member named TCDynasty..

Greetings Slatey,

On occasion I play Omaha Hi or more typically, Omaha 8 or better.  Back in late 2002-2003 I was crushing the $5 and $10 games (with a very simple strategy).  However, I haven't tested the waters in quite a while.  I would like to find some resources (or vids) so I could prepare myself for a trial run.

There is a member here named TCDynasty that recently made his own video (which was a holdem vid) and wanted feedback, which I offered.  Out of curiosity, I Sharkscoped him and he was on the Sharkscope Leaderboard for Omaha at the small/middling limits.  If I remember correctly, he said he stopped playing due to variance and a bad losing streak.

However, he did express interest in making an Omaha vid for me (or even an Omaha8 vid).  I haven't heard back from him, but it was only a few days ago and I haven't followed up.  I'm sure it wouldn't hurt if he knew there were other players interested in Omaha vids.  You may want to consult with him.

Also, xSCWx told me that he plays PLO, but wasn't sure he was good enough at it to make a vid (although he said he thinks he can beat the 3/6 games).  Also, xSCWx said that Skates has done well in PLO as far as he knew.  He said he could run it by him.  I sure wouldn't mind one or two Omaha vids, even if they aren't A+ caliber.

Anyways, sorry for rambling.  I'm hoping more Omaha fans come out of the woodwork.  It would be neat to get some discussions started or even some videos.

Take care,

Jeffrey (REBTgenius)

Yea..Ryan said he was looking to put some up sometime.
I'd really love to speak with someone who has played over 5K games.
I know its swingy like hell...so dont know if its really worth it.

Re: Any preference on stakes for

Greetings xSCWx,

My personal preference would be something at the higher mid-stakes (e.g. $57.50) as it might bridge the gap between those with an interest  in smaller stakes play and those who want something that is a little bit more challenging.  If you wanted to split it up into two different limits that would be cool too (like a $23 and a $230), but anything would be acceptable to me.

Thank you,

Jeffrey

seeing as the variance

seeing as the variance factor is a lot more swingy what kind of bankroll mangement plan would be needed....
