state of HUSNG's

I was wondering if you guys could share eyour thoughts on the state of HUSNG's.

Do you think that these games are still yet to peak?. eg are HUSNG's at the moment still comparable to the standard of  6max NL  in say 2006/early 2007?

Do you think training sites like husng.com will invariably make the games tougher, with the $20 HUSNG's and up all filled with tough regs? Do you think that its easier to 'get good' at HUSNG's compared to HUNL or 6max NL and the void in HUSNG's will fill quicker than it did with HUNL and 6max NL?

Would it be wise to move onto PLO HUSNG's before everyone else moves over to them?

1) Husngs are definitely

1) Husngs are definitely tougher now than they were when I started in early 2007.

2) There are a lot more mediocre but not terrible players, particularly in the $115-$230 range.

3) However, there is a ton of more information about the game out there today.  People can move up much faster if they work hard.

4) I think sites like this, and other training sites, they mostly just improve the low to mid stakes games.  If you look at Cardrunners, how many guys that you see beating nosebleed cash made it there because of CR?  Not really any, to be honest.  Ivey, Durr, whoever else, those guys are still owning the same games they owned 2 years ago.

On the other hand, mid stakes and low stakes cash seems to have gotten a lot tougher, and I think that has a lot to do with the training sites.

I am subjective, but I think our site can get players from the $5s to the $115-230s reasonably quickly if they work hard and play a lot.  After that, there is a lot of built in skill and mental stamina required to handle 5k-10k+ swings daily, and some people just don't seem to have it.

You're also playing very smart players at the $570+, even guys like livb come down to those levels just to get games.  Otherwise, you really need respect from the regulars such as Croix, Bas and Bcm, you'll just lose too much money and expectation having to play them over and over.

In the end, training sites are great to help you get to those $115-230 type levels (or 2/4, 5/10 cash games), at that point getting a good coach is a great idea, but you'll still need to put in a lot of effort and develop skills on your own time.

I'd definitely take a bet that I could turn any normal person into a $55 or $110 winner, but I'm not so sure a $550+ winner would say they could do the same for their levels with any average joe.
