Greetings,
I've managed to get some good volume in at Stars today as I'm trying to make sure I keep my Silver Star. It's important because of the 1.5x multiplier and more importantly (to me) the ability to enter the 100 FPP 30K weekly and other freerolls. Anyway, today I've earned about 150 FPP playing a wide mixture of games. I'll list what I've played and see if anybody has suggestions on how I might earn FPP in the most efficient and risk-free manner.
Current Pokerstars bankroll: $501.80
Games played today:
3 tabled .50/1 limit holdem (I played one six man and two 9 man's). I lost $49
$6, $11, $33 turbos (note, I only played one $33 as I recognized a fish). I won $52
.25/.50 HU ($50 buy-in at one table): I won $15
Anyway, I'm willing to play a wide variety of both limit, PL, or NL games. I will also play turbo sit and go's (especially 6 man 3.25's). Also, I'm good at Omaha Hi/Lo (but not experienced at Omaha Hi). I can 4 table 9 man's and 3 table 6 man's. I prefer playing HUSNG's one at a time, but can comfortably play two.
Any advice on how I can quickly earn my last 297 FPP before Oct 1st?
Thank you,
Jeffrey
Wouldn't it make more sense to just play HUSNGs in higher volume (assuming this is what you are best at)? I don't get why you want to branch into these other games to do it. HU cash is awful for trying to achieve because the rake is capped and very low.
You can get that amount of VPPs quite easily by just playing like 9 tables of NL25 for a few hours
Play 60 $11 turbos tomorrow. That's your best bet. Don't change game types to get there it's not worth it.
$1 rake is 5 vpps so 300 vpps is $60 rake (for sngs)
Greetings guys,
I didn't think I'd get to Silver Star, but I finally made it! My brain felt like it was drowning in a sea of Thorazine when I got to the final 60 or so VPP's. Basically, I earned the bulk of my FPP playing HUSNG's. I also fooled around with a few 6-man HUSNG's, but that was just to break up the monotony. It used to be so easy to get Gold Star! Most likely, it's the low stakes games I'm playing relative to the past.
Thanks for the advice,
Jeffrey (who is taking a break from online poker for a few days)
Nice work.
In the future, husngs are definitely the way to go. Or like FR LHE. Most SNE come from LHE or SNGs I believe.
