huge overshoves

Hi. Just wondered what sort of thought process I should be going through when someone makes a huge overshove.

Earlier, at 15/30, I won a massive pot leave villain with about 700 chips. He then shoves the very next hand and I have 77. Obv part of me thinks he is tilting and 7s are more than enough, but as an isolated move, it could be a double bluff. Any thoughts on when this happens to you and generally what you need to call with?
Thanks

Even against a non-tilted,

Even against a non-tilted, solid winning player I think that calling an open shove with 77 for 23BB is really standard. You will find people open shoving hands that don't play well postflop (AK, AQ, 22-88) a LOT more often than you will find them open shoving decent pairs. I would probably call an open shove for 50BB with 77 if I thought my opponent was tilted.

 believe me,if he just lost

believe me,if he just lost half of his stak and the next hand is dealt a monster, the last thing that cross his mind is waste it by openshoving.Could be 88-TT sometimes, but definetly not JJ and that is a very easy call imho

how about if i push all in

how about if i push all in the first hand we have no reads what should we call with ?
If we have  reads and knows that he is on tilt and we think he is going to play   fishy the rest of the sng what should we call with?

fair enough if this seems an

fair enough if this seems an easy call to people.

where i am coming from is that if this is a donkey, why take the chance he could be pushing two overcards > 77 and flip, when there will be tons of better spots to exploit him.

thanks why i folded.

but thanks for the comments.

77 is favored against the

77 is favored against the overcards so it isn't a flip, and you will run into hands you are dominating somewhat frequently. 77 is going to be a LOT better than a flip against nearly any players range here. Also, you are a bit over 20BB deep here. You can't just be folding hands that are favored just because you *might* be close to a flip against him. Folding at this point in the game is giving up a large portion of your stack. You are taking a much bigger risk by trying to find a better spot than you are by just calling with something marginal (not that 77 is marginal here).
