Hi all, this hand is from game 4 against TNixon.
I had just given away game 3 on the K6o hand where I donated my stack to his KQ after having 3 bet him PF, check/called a K high flop, and CRAI a blank turn.
I'm happier with the way I handled this pot. I 3bet 99 which seems to be very reasonable, especially considering that he probably had the K6 hand in mind and could reshove light, and hit the perfect flop. I bet a considerable amount on the flop to discourage floats and am more than willing to get it in at this point.
The turn card is a very ugly K, and I barely half more than a pot sized bet left. I decide to go for a second barrel, half pot, in case he has a hand like QJ/A9/66 and because I think it's very difficult for him to try and bluff me after that, as I would take the same line with all of my strong hands. I wanted to give myself a possibility of getting away from the hand if the K had hit him, and discourage him from turning his hands into a bluff. On the river, I check/fold putting him squarely on a KQ type of hand.
Is my line standard?

I think that you should be shoving this river into him for value. It would be pretty bad for him to float you with KX on this flop unless he has some sort of read on a leak you have for the turn/river.
I had made it enough on the flop that he wouldnt float. Once I decide to check the river, can he really be shoving worse? What range can I put him on after he calls my turn bet?
Turned out he had KJ
If you don't expect him to shove worse and don't expect him to have KX much then why are you checking?
After he pays my bet on the turn, I actually put him on KQ, because I think he would have shipped PPs preflop. He probably would have shipped or folded A7 as well, so on the flop, I put him mostly on a float.
Floats are clearly not flatting the turn if they miss here, hence my check/fold on the river. I could not think of a hand I could get value from on the river tbh. What do you think of my turn bet sizing?
Cheers
The turn bet size looks fine to me.
