Schedule Me (that title sounds good to my spanish head)

Hi, my name is Oscar, I'm from Barcelona, Spain and my goal is 6000$ a month playing 4 hours a day, I have a year to achieve it.

Could you help me?

I have 8 hours a day

Should I play 4 hours and watch videos 4 hours
Play 2h, videos 2h, go through my played hands 2h, read forum hands 2h
No play, videos 6h, read forum hands 2h

I'm very bad hand reading and with tought process, when a hear something like barrel or float I want to jump over the window, my strong points are patience and discipline.

Going over my played hands and try to copy your thoughs in all of them is a good way to learn to thought and hand reading. are there better ways?

Seen videos over and over getting a bit of every one every time, could lead to a machine head?

What barrel and floating means? don't answer that, today  I'll don't go to sleep till I found and understand that concepts.

My history:
-I play LHE in party poker as iyotank (break even player in micro levels, I played about 7000 hands and quit)
-I try SnG in FTP as iyotank (about 60 SnG, win a little and quit after a bad run)
-I play DoN in pokerstars as mengoos (about 2300, I win, get my first level up and quit)
-I buy a spanish guitar 10 years ago, i give my skills a 3 out of 10, i lost 7 years.
-I say above that my strong points are patience and discipline, unbelievable.

thanks for your help, i'll do my best to take profit of your answers

PS: excuse my english, it's not my first language.

Hello there Oscar, Time is

Hello there Oscar,

Time is an asset to you, you have a lot of it so this is a good start.

Something like:

Play 4 hours

Watch videos 2 hours

Post and review hands 2 hours on husng.com and 2p2 Heads Up forum

I would single table until you improve, that should get you around 20 games a day, maybe more if you play FTP instead of PokerStars (If PartyPoker still has 10% rake, DO NOT play there).

You don't want to overload yourself on videos.  I recommend watching some of the lower stakes ones, particularly Primo's HuSng from scratch, my end game video, Cog Dissonance and any/every low stakes video from every other instructor.  2-3 a day is plenty to improve your learning process.

You also do not need to watch the videos in a row, or play 4 hours straight.  In fact, that is probably not the best plan for you.  I would play 1-2 hours, watch a video.  Review one of your HHs, post a hand or two you have a question about.  Then play another 1-2 hours, watch another video, do the same thing, etc.  That should be a good way to balance your 8 hours with constant learning without overloading yourself.

If you find you like to post HHs or you like to review HHs in particular, spend some more time doing that then.  If you're playing very well, play more than the 4 hours.  If you're playing very bad, maybe watch an extra video and go through an extra HH or two instead of continuing the grind.

To your questions = Barrel means you bet again.  An example, if you raise, your opponent calls, then checks on the flop and you bet.  That is a continuation bet (c-bet).  If you're watching a video and the coach says "I don't want to barrel again" that means he does not want to bet the turn.  Double barrel would mean two bets in a row, while triple barrel would mean a bet on every street.

Float = Calling with nothing.  Sometimes people use this as calling with weak draws/hands that obviously do not have the odds to call.  I'm not sure if that is correct, but if you see somebody bet a PSB on the turn leaving his opponent with very few chips, and his opponent calls with a weak gutshot on the turn, the person saying his opponent is "floating" means calling well without odds.  The true definition, imo, is if somebody say called with Q4o on a T85 board.  He has no draws and no pair, so that's really a "float."

Let us know if you have any other definition questions, there are a ton of poker terms that people use and it can get confusing to many.

Thanks

Hey, thank you for your time, perfect answer

- I start to play monday at pokerstars 5$ regular, one table, 4h
- In the 2h video i try to mute the sound, pause in every hand and write my hand range read, thought process and plan, then hear the master, it'll be slow at first but I thought that help a lot my weakness, I don't think at all, I react.
- The 2h posting and reading hand it would be easy if I do the previous.

I seen this videos:
PrimordialAA Archive 1
PrimordialAA Archive 2
Cog Dissonance 01
Cog Dissonance 17
RyPac13 Video 01
RyPac13 Video 09

Very good all of them, they open my eyes and now I see clearly the emptiness of my brain, now I start to decorate it with the excellent pieces of art that I could found here.

Should I see PrimordialAA's intermediate and advanced level? or wait

The barrel and floating words scares me, I thought that they hide obscure and very deep meanings, now that I know them better we'll be friends.

Thank you again
