Pretty down.. never felt a Downswing as bad as this one!

Hey Guys..
I am new to HUSng, but i am long time member at various other training sites.. made already pretty much proft playing poker.
My knowledge is pretty good over all kinds of poker games..
But know i started playing HUSngs and i think i am to bad for these..

I really don t make bad moves.. but this week and the last one.. it felt i loose every 70% shot.. lose 8 out of 10  Games..
For Guys who are interested to help me out.. i am kinda depressed, can look me up on sharkscope.. my Account is "David-Kabauter" on Full Tilt.. and then only look up Headsup Games..my Bankroll shrinked from 750 to 240 $ now.. i fear playing another 23$ HUSng.. its surely going to be another suckout :(

are such swings normal??
Am i still in a normal variance spot or do i just suck??
I can t really believe i just suck.. because i proved over many many games that i am a good poker player.. cashgames.. sngs.. up to NL 400.. i cashed out most of my bankroll and wanted to start back up again with HUSng.. but it seems not to work for me.. :'(

Any hints from guys with more experience then i am with HUSngs..

Is this still just a downswing? over 300 games :'(

Looking for answers some good words or just some help..

As down as i am now i was never before in my 3-4Year poker Career now.

Best Regards.. and sorry for my bad english.

That is a pretty long

That is a pretty long stretch but I expected a lot worse based upon your post. Every once in a while you will run worse than you ever believed to be possible. It happens to everyone.

If I were you I would look into coaching or if you are looking to save money then you could use the AIM/Skype group thread to find someone to swap hands with. Worst case scenario you put some time in and learn something.

No matter how good you are

No matter how good you are or not, suckouts do happen.

I also had a gut-wrenching 8 loss 2 win 8 loss streak. I've reviewed the history with a couple of folks. Even when you noticed that most of the negative results are due to ending up on the wrong side of a coin flip, it doesn't make it any easier.

Tilt management really has to kick in or else you start your self-doubt spiral and there goes your A or B game.

Also, move down to $10s?

Thx

Thx for ur answers,
i thought about moving down again.. but already being a NL 400 Player that seems.. so.. not worthy of playing if u can get my point =D
but..
i have only $240 in my bankroll left so its best to move down.

About Coaching.:  i already invested tooooo much money in pokerbooks and pokertraining sites i guess ^^ so i don t consider taking a personal coach.. i also can t afford it really since i am making a jump to making a living from poker.
Thats also the reason i am so depressed.. i have half a year left to prepare me , that i can live from playing poker.. and now i am running sooo bad =D.. maybe i should switch to cashgames again.. i don t really know.

But thx for the answers so far :)
appreciate it.

Move down until you get your

Move down until you get your confidence back.

Even the best players go through long, negative stretches.  As long as you can regain your confidence and are playing winning poker, sooner than later you'll start to run better and you'll rebound.  The key is to minimize your losses until you are running better, if what should be a 15 buyin downswing turns into a 30 buyin downswing because of poor play and tilt, you're going to need to win twice as much to recover from it.

Moved Down!

Instead of changing to cashgames again i moved down now to the $10 Headsup SNG.
Trying to play some of these to get the confidence in my game back =)
Maybe it works, i ll keep u guys up to date on my progress.
I am also still playing with the idea moving back to cashgames.. but if i do that now i first would give up my Headsup SNG try and second wasted my money on ur really great content on this site here :)

Thx for ur fast answers and kind words :)
If some of u want u can check out my progress @ sharkscope or i post some day and inform u about how it goes.. maybe next week or so =)

keep in there.  I have

keep in there.

I have experienced a 15 downswing myself and it was torrid. I took a couple of days off, watching videos, shows and played some games (Modern Warfare 2 is a good way to destress)

You will be back. If you keep plugging at it your mental state may not be 100%

another 10 Buy Ins down.. at

another 10 Buy Ins down.. at the 11$ Level :(
is the competition really that hard?
Now i am beginning to think there is some big leak.. like.. after i loose some hands.. i play hands differently.. only a bit but some.. cause of some emotions which build up inside.
Maybe i didn t noticed that at Cashgames or MTTs.. because i don t loose as many pots in that short time^^ don t get raised that often.. dunno..
i don t give up..
But maybe its just that big problem dunno..
I also resetted my stats so that i can the my progress better.

so far :)

note down for each loss what

note down for each loss what was the reason contributing to the loss

e.g
-failure to read villain
-did not show villain respect for raises blah blah
-suckout

jot down every single one. you can then find a trend of whats causing your downfall.

also HUSNG is very different from other forms of poker that you used to play, do not use your past success to translate into expected success here.

A fair bit of players do have knowledge of NASH and how to play some sorts, its about adjusting and trying to get an edge on your opponent.

Thx thrift for your help

Thx thrift for your help =)

I guess i have to hit the mark , what contributes most to my losses straight on...

--> Did not show villian respect for raises =D

Repect for raises per lost pot decreases big time
Respect for raises in consideration of my effective stack .. that means if i am behind decreases drastically ^^
=D=D

That means i am getting more and more pissed per raise.. its not that obv.. so that i could see it.. but now i am more conscious of it.

I will look for some other things to point out..
never thought Headsup SNGs would be sooo different from other kinds of poker that it could turn me into such a big looser =D

Nevertheless i think its a great opporturnity to force me getting tilt decisions out of my game.. else i go broke.

Will not switch games because i know i can do it.

Yeah, don't give

Yeah, don't give up...downswings are part of the game. I'm just going through an annoying 12BI downswing at the 30s atm. Keep in mind though that it's important to look at your game objectively. Spend a bit more time analyzing your large pot hands after each session than you normally would.

I think I wrote something about handling downswings in one of my blog posts...

Y i will definitely look

Y i will definitely look that up =)
Thx @ll for ur kind words.

I am looking forward to how my 11$ SNGs war working now.. i closed the gap now to -5 Buy in =D
Moving up to the $23 again when i got 25 BuyIns for it.
That would be $575.
and then i hope i can take it on from there.. getting my tilt under control.. that will help me not only in all my other poker games but in life too =D

Thx its really a great community here till now.. only good and constructive comments ;)
