Im only playing the turbo $11's at the moment but about to make the next step and already even at these stakes have given away alot in rake. So before i move up and start to spend more on rake
1)Is it impossible to get any now my account has been opened?
2)Should I switch to full tilt have an account there but not sure if I would get a better deal and the structures are different.
3)Or do I simply open a new account with my wifes details and set up at rakeback deal ?
4) Im progressing nicely so shall I just bend over and take it and stay with stars
cheers
i wouldnt open a second account, if you play on stars you have the same (more or less) direct rakeback with or without an affiliate.
a subscribtion for free would be nice, but i rather pay the bucks then risk my account to get banned....
Your account gets merged back to the non rakeback one, but I agree with your suggestion of not breaking the site's terms and conditions Blennus. It's not a good habit to get into, regardless if it seems relatively minor or void of risk.
i take your points so I take it the affiliates claims of 32% rake back are rubish? maybe its because im new to this but its painful that after only 500 ish hands a quater of my profit is rake. But obviously you dont get anything for free in this world but just getting 10 dollars back after the volume ive put in seems abit sick
Affiliates get 3%, you get 27% on FTP. FTP has capped all affiliates at 3% now. It used to be much higher. Nobody likes this, players see less rewards on average and affiliates obviously make a lot less money.
FTP's reasoning on this was to prevent back room deals, which I haven't even really ever heard of and there are much more effective ways of preventing that than screwing over the people that bring you new players.
If FTP wasn't so important to the heads up sng community (2nd largest site, one of only two sites that has consistent action above the $100 level), we would probably promote other sites very hard and keep FTP promotions to a minimum as a reaction to this negative move by FTP. Unfortunately, that's not realistic in this environment.
Anyways, you'll get 27% of your rake you pay back. If you deposited or are clearing a bonus, FTP subtracts out of your MGR (monthly gross rake). So if you rake $100, but are clearing a bonus, you won't get 27% of $100, you'll get 27% of whatever the result is of the $100 rake minus the bonus deduction. Affiliates get paid the same way as you, so we would not get 3% of your rake, we'd get 3% of your rake minus that bonus deduction.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer them.
