Common situation for me,
Villain was loose aggressive opening every button varying size between 3 and 5bb, calling approx 80% of my pre flop raises ocasionally 3betting my 3bb open to 17bb's, if I checked turn for pot control he would bet donk turn 100%. He was frequently calling two barrels with air, and in one instance called 3 streets with A3o with no pair no draw.
Basically opponent is taking down lots of small pots and restealing. I'm getting value when I manage to pick up a hand.

I'm pretty happy with the hand up until the turn when a straight draw completes a flush draw opens up but still think i'm ahead most of the time and theres no way the opponent is folding any draw. Then another overcard rivers my hand feels really marginal and i know if check the river the line looks weak, the opponent will bet and i cant call. ive got just over 1000 chips left elect to make less than half pot bet to make it look like i'm trying to extract value but in reality ive put over half my stack in. Any advice
If villain is loose, I just check/call the river giving him a chance to bluff, as the K is good card for that purpose.If he is a calling station then I just bet as you did

if we don't think the villain will play an 8 like this, flatting 2 streets, then c/c river makes sense against this player. blocking bet is my 2nd pick. don't think people are calling 3 streets 5x, 4x there, so it just (hopefully) prevents something weird happening like him shoving the river.
Don't raise his limp with 77 here.You're only building a huge pot oop with a very marginal hand - you'll have at least one overcard on most flops and you're basically forced to play for stacks against an opponent like this. I would just check back, then bet flop for pot, bet turn ~75% pot-size and check/call river, allowing him to bluff that King.With 99+, I'd certainly raise this pre - even a bit bigger to about 130-150 against a guy like that, so we can get it in at the turn.
