4bet shoving low pocket pairs

I was rematching this guy. The previous tourney we got it allin preflop QQ vs TT on the third hand, other than that it was just raising and folding. This is the second hand of this tournament. As I said I don't have much info but the game has mainly just been raising and folding. Any merit to 4bet shoving here? My opinion is not really, better to just be patient with plenty of time to own the guy. He didn't seem too tilted after the QQ vs TT hand. Haha I agree you should nit

Haha I agree you should nit it up and own him later on. 55 doesn't fare well in 3bet pots even in position. My range vs. unknown here is probably around 99+ AT+, AJ+.

Definitely not 4bet shoving

Definitely not 4bet shoving here, but I don't see the reason for folding.  Villains range here isn't polarized to overpairs, there's a ton of flops that could be good for us and not to mention although you shouldnt play for set value, if you do hit and he hits top pair you're getting his whole stack.50BB is too deep to be passing up pocket pairs, in my opinion.

Good point. Are you semi

Good point. Are you semi bluffing any flops? like 346 if he cbets. Are you floating dry boards like 962 or 883. What is your plan for the hand?I come from a nitty cash game background so am still learning to widen my range a bit :)

At 40bbs+ I'm MR small PPs,

At 40bbs+ I'm MR small PPs, giving me setmining odds when he 3bets.

346 is far from a semi bluff,

346 is far from a semi bluff, and an ideal board to check raise (probably check shove depending on his cbet sizing). On dry boards and paired boards it gets a little more difficult. In general I'm probably check-calling most paired boards because it's too easy to get raised plus our pair is pretty low and susceptable to being counterfitted later on in the hand. On a dry board like 963 rainbow i'd be more inclined to leadout because it's difficult for him to rep anything except an overpair and then it's up to you if you believe him or not :)

But why are you folding?
