Do we shove all in when we have an edge on our opponent?

No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players$6.00+$0.25Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converterSBHero1990 BBRicksen841010 Effective Stacks: 34bbBlinds 15/30Pre-FlopHero is SB Hero calls 15, Ricksen84 raises to 120 Final Pot: 150 Villain did this before and actually it was my plan to limp in and shove over a raise but now i'm wondering if calling wouldnt be better seeing that we have a hudge advantage on our opponent. Getting it in might be +EV but wouldnt be waiting for a better spot be more +EV. If villain would turn his hand face up here and show KQo , do we shove it in pre? It might be a stupid question but against these maniac type of villains there should be better spots than being 60/40, no?

Given the stack sizes it's

Given the stack sizes it's probably not a terrible play if he's doing it a lot. If he's not allowing you to limp in general then I would purposely do a play like this. He might think you're tilted and call with worse if he's dumb and it will discourage him from raising your limps in the future also. that being said it's probably very marginal this early in the match and it's a slight overbet. What range of hands do you think he's 4xing with out of position? A7o isn't exactly going to be easy to play against a maniac if you call the raise.

Flatting with A7o in this

Flatting with A7o in this situation is one of the worst plays since it's so difficult to play post flop. How has he been responding to your raises?  If he's respecting them then you should be raising this for value, and to avoid a tough decision.  If he's 3/4x'ing those too then shoving is not a bad play by any means. If villain is making this play with a wide variety of hands the shoving is a good play, remember when you're working out if this is profitible or not we shouldn't just consider our hand vs villains, but also the fold equity we have - just because he is 4x'ing your limp with KQo doesn't mean he is willing to call a raise/jam with it which makes shoving any ace a chip winner.

If villian is doing this a

If villian is doing this a lot, I'll do that (limping and shoving his raise) with AJ+ or (99)-TT+I would minraise A7o and probably fold if he 3bets (but this depends on reads I got about opponent)

Well, I was pretty sure I was

Well, I was pretty sure I was ahead of his range as he was doing this often if not to say always. The question is do we take this edge or do we wait for a better spot which is surely coming against this type of opponent? I mean even if he turns his hand face up which was Q9o do we still want to get it this deep and against an opponent this bad?

The one nice thing about

The one nice thing about shoving allin is that it discourages him from doing this in the future and confuses him. I think what you need to do next time is decide before you limp what you're going to do. Say to yourself... if he raises me again here I'm defnitely going to shove. It may sound retarded but it will help you get into his mind and really let you plan your strategy against him.All that being said, folding and waiting for a better spot is probably the most sensible thing to do. I don't see this play winning you a ton of money (but I don't think it's a loser).
