Same here...I've been playing poker and studying seriously for 14 years now, but I've never ventured into correct HU strategy. It should vastly help my six-max and full ring games, too, if I decide to venture back into them.Previously, I played HU sngs for relaxation once in a while, mostly at the $11.50 stakes, and I've done pretty well, but I brought my same somewhat weak-tight strategy from six max, which obviously doesn't work too well against good opponents in HU.I transformed my game practically overnight, and I cannot believe some of the cards I'm betting now! Also, I have never been too concerned with reads, as I've mass tabled (recently 24 tables of 6 max cash and previously as many as 38 full-ring sngs in continuous registration). Now, my reads have suddenly gone from reading and interpretting HUD stats to not even looking at HUD stats and I'm getting a great feel for most of my opponents. I wish I'd learned all this years ago and I could have progressed into higher stakes, but better late than never!
Glad to hear. You're only about a third of the way through his videos on the site, so hopefully this is just a taste of things to come for you.
glad to hear they helped :)
