Ok, I am starting to learn and play HU SNG at lower levels.I watched on Monday PrimordialAA HU From scratch series, really good and I am planning in watching Reinforcing Fundamentals tonight (I just have time at night to play and study HU SNG).Last days were ups and downs, first I won 4 in a row to ended up losing about 6 games, then I won 2, all these at the $6.25 Turbo on stars. Is these kind of variance expectable? I mean, I really should study more and learn more but sometimes is frustanting to lose more than 4 games in a row. I think the $6.25 are beatable, I just have to put some volume on them, right?By the way I have about 100 buy ins for the $6.25 Turbos on stars, but because I am new to the game and I do not want to be under rolled, I am playing these games right now.Thanks.
I think the sample size is too low to say anything. Recently I lost against a big fish 4 or 5 times in a row (he almost always sucked out on me). You will find out if you played good or not if you analyze the games and ask other players when you're not sure. So, instead to foucs on your short term results you should focus on the decisions you made.
On your downtime I would seriously focus on mid-endgame play as the turbos get to that point fairly quickly and you want to have as many edges as possible, no matter how thin. PrimordialAA has some great vids on 25-50 blind level play and of course you can check out RyPac and Mers' endgame videos. Those would be a great start.

Thanks, I watched a few more videos since the last post and I think I am catching the overall thinking on turbos. Still too much to learn, and I have a ton of videos to watch, specially the turbos format.I am also running better, catching some villain coolers but in overall I feel more confident in playing the $6.25 Turbos. I want to move up to the $11.50 turbos very soon, but until then I am going to build my roll and play more and study more.Thanks.
Glad to see things are looking up! Keep up the good work and run good!

Things were going ok until yesterday when I had my worst session, lost about $40 by playing thr $6,25 turbos. I think I need to review HH and watch some videos.Everytime I have a huge downswing I am always thinking in playing 9 man sng but then I remember that 9 man sng have more variance than heads up.I really need to checkout my last games, the $6,25 are soft but yesterday it was terrible for me. I probably need to take a break and watch a ton of videos from here to focus myself back on the games.
losing 4 in a row is killing me, but then again once u start winning 8 in a row it makes up for it fairly quick.
