Villan has been agressive for the 15 or so hands we have played. He c/raised twice already and just jammed once. I 3b 2 hands b4 and cbet the same amount on A83 and he folded. Im pretty sure i'm almost always ahead here but my question is if I should jam or not. If i flat and the turn is a blank and check to him again he would have the option to check back a flush draw. If I jam then im obviously folding out all of his bluffs which I think make up a good part of his range here.
This is a really close spot. I guess i jam in most cases with no particular reads, but if hes very aggressive IP i think you can flat flop and check river to induce bluffing. An alternative line could be to flat flop and the lead out small on turn. Perhaps this way he jams all his naked flush draws and maybe you can induce him to peel one to see if he can hit the river or bluff on river? Also on the flop I like to Cbet a bit larger in the 160-185 range.
I used to cbet larger vs 100% of opponents, but most people just play fit/fold on the flop and 1/2 pot gets the job done just as well as more. On a wetter flop with TPTK I would cbet more.
I see your point there if he just plays fit or fold i like the size as well. If its likeley this villain falls in that category you know that he is pretty likely to have at least a draw here. Then i guess i would jam trying to get flush draws to call.
