I have spent 14 years playing this game and in less than three weeks at husng.com, I might have learned more about the game than during the entire previous six years!This isn't entirely true, as I have "learned" many of these concepts before, but did not know how to apply them. In other words, it was a lot of theory, but I did not know how to apply it in a practical sense.These past three days, I have spent playing 6 max poker to work off my $5000+ in bonuses on Pokerstars. I've been putting this off because I have not been able to turn a decent profit in these games since they changed the buyin levels earlier this year (April or May?).However, I have found the new set of skills I have learned during the last three weeks has carried over into 6 max poker in a big way. I am able to better put various opponents on ranges and adjust a little better to different opponent types.Up until now, I have played a weak-tight game with some transparent aggression thrown in. HU play and what I've learned here at husng.com has quickly transformed my game so that I am more aggressive in a few critical spots.The good thing is that I realize I hardly know a damn thing about HU play yet and there is so much more I will be learning in the months to come.Poker is fun again! Honestly, I never thought I would say that.
