Hi,We ask those that are interested in joining the team to email us with a sample video of what they can offer.  As little as 10 minutes is fine to start with.  From there we will review your skills and if we're interested in you joining the team we'll talk some more.Coaches get paid per video or set of videos.  They also receive coaching pages (if they would like to coach) and free subscriptions.Having good stats and success is a positive, but we really look at your ability to convey important winning strategy to members above all else.

What we are really looking for is more people who can make good lecture type videos with a nice power point slide show.  Ok, I am because I like that kind.

This was also a suggestion of mine a few days ago.I believe that players at the lower stakes can benefit tremendously from power points. They explicitely show the critical areas of thinking. We can more easily sort through all of this information we're being fed,..the main points will be shown on Power Point, and then we have a framework to relate all of the finer points of play to.PP presentations take so much more work though than recording a live video, but I think they can easily be worth four or five live play videos.If many different important subjects would get their own PP videos, I think we would be better armed to get more out of the live play videos.I bought Collin Moshman's book and it has guided me somewhat in my overall thinking by providing a basic framework, but I feel there are many situations that could be nicely handled by videos dedicated to a single subject, including PP presentation followed by hand histories illustrating that concept.One random example that comes to my mind...flopping second pair. Various scattered guidelines are given now and then throughout videos for these situations, but this depends heavily on board texture and opponent tendencies. When we see a hand here and a hand there with this situation, we need to somehow relate all information from each of these hands from within separate videos and try to compare them. What was different about THIS second pair that leads you to check vs. this other you decided to bet? If all of this was given as a PP presentation video supported by a variety of hand histories, we could easily start relating hands we see in live play videos to those shown in the PP.I imagine that a series of 50-100 Power Point videos detailing many different specific situations that occur at least every other game can be produced. I know that's a TON of work, but I really think the dividends would be HUGE. I know that each situation is unique, but by classifying common situations and giving us the tools to THINK through these situations ourselves...this is how to more quickly take an average player to the next level.As is, we need to sort through all of the information contained in separate videos and somehow relate hands that we hardly remember to each other. Yes, it's important that we learn to think and reason for ourselves, but these types of PP videos would teach us how to do that by displaying the pro's thought process in each situation.I hope this didn't come across as whiny...actually I was very excited just thinking about the concept and typed at twice my normal speed. hehe.
