In general when teaming up for 4 mans, is it std to split 50/50 or do you give a guy a bit more if he has a larger roi over a significant sample?

Definitely always 50/50.. previous results shouldn't be considered when you are teaming in 4mans.

so basically if a guy at 10% roi and a guy with 5% roi team up the guy with 10% is pulling the 5% up to 7.5% and the 5% is pulling the 10% down to 7.5%? Doesn't seem like such a good deal.

I don't think it's so black and white statistically, but if you're playing with somebody you think has a weaker edge on your 4 man type opponents, it might be a good idea to rethink it if your main concerns are hourly/edge/fair value for your effort.I've never heard of anything other than 50-50, but I suppose it's possible it has happened otherwise.  I did hear on more than one occassion of fragile winners paying their teammates to allow them to win the 4 man final.If it weren't against the rules, I'd happily take a -50k sharkscope for a few grand :)

Pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that on PS, if you are going to split and you are playing each other then you MUST shove from the 1st hand, so it cant be illegal on PS either...Id be interested in doing this. Been trying to train a non HU playing poker friend so we can do this and it isnt going so well so far....
