Just a quick question, is it

Just a quick question, is it actually legal to team-up at either PokerStars or FullTilt? I mean, do you guys are really sure this is not against the TOC of either site? I read somewhere in 2p2 that you can team up in FT but Stars is against it...

i know ftp is fine with it,

i know ftp is fine with it, as long as you shove when u are vs each other first round, and do player transfer half the prize money when either one wins it and then send the money through player transfer,  or if u dont get vs each other in the first round, just make the dealmaking option in second round, thats afaik not illegal but fwiw, just search around a bit, im sure there are multiple topics about the ethics behind 4 mans, cba to explain it more detailed right now

Stars recently changed their policy.I blogged about it over 6 months ago when I heard about it.  I was informed for months by the site that this was their policy.  However, there was some sort of error with their support along the way and it didn't seem to become fully enforced until very recently. So, to be clear, as of now:Stars - No 4 man teams are allowed, though they used to be.FTP - They allow 4 mans currently, but they've had some back and forth confusion via support emails and what FTP reps have said.

What if you just play with a buddy in 4mans a lot but don't split winnings - could they interpret that as collusion (we play each other if sat)?

If you don't send any money

If you don't send any money on Stars nor chop when you face each other, I suppose you're technically going to be abiding by the rules, so it may be ok.That could actually be a natural solution to the problem.  All old 4 man teams just play solo, but reg as if you were teaming up.Then support will have to explain to all the "not so wise" people that complain that this is cheating that these people are just playing in the same tournament together, and the difference between a ban and no ban will essentially become nothing.Just an idea. The answer is definitely yes though, they could interpret it as collusion and tell you to stop, even if you're doing nothing wrong.
