Can't comment on your 4xing OOP pre, don't play >50bb muchthere isn't alott you can do wrong with a hand like that (besides folding) so there are a bunch of different lines you can take which will be optimal against different palyer types.Your asking if what you did is correct, if correct means +ev than yes it is, if it means maxev than it's dependant on villain.
I dont know what is correct, but I wouldnt flat call him on the flop, I would raise big enough that he is pot committed (dosnt have implied odds to call) to shove a pair or flush draw.It is a good board for villain to raise as a bluff , but it also smacks his limp calling range so if you reraise you can expect him to shove over you with a lot of hands that you are beating. When he shoves the turn you pretty much forced to call, if you are are calling the flop you are pretty much saying his raise was air/weak so you have to call the turn shove as the 2 changes nothing and a shove looks like air. I mean if you are flatting the flop you expect villain to be betting the turn and the river if he has any chips left.Just my 2 cents.
Just to point out what chug said, I think your play is correct (+EV), dont know if it is max EV.I'm interested to know what your doing if a diamond or a say a 7 comes on the turn? That is what scares me about flatting on the flop.
it´s a good question. I´ve the flush comes on the turn, I think I couldnt call here the shove? Maybe this is weak, but I my stack is good enought to come back on this early game. Please correct me, if this is total crap :)and sorry for my bad english.
Yeah I would fold too. Of course we dont know (or expect) he is going to shove, I'd expect him to be betting the turn over half pot a large percentage of the time, so it is more questions of if you are willing to call a good size bet on the turn. Thats why I would want to get my stack in on the flop with top pair (great kicker) when the there are so many draws.
"I dont know what is correct, but I wouldnt flat call him on the flop, I would raise big enough that he is pot committed (dosnt have implied odds to call) to shove a pair or flush draw."I agree with this
