Live big heads up tournement?

Hello, I would like to know what about live tournements:-is there a WSOP heads up live tournement every year to see who is the best heads up player of the year?-what the winner have? money for sure but, does we win a bracelet like the WSOP main event?-what is the buy in?-how can we register-how many of these tournements per years? (must have a canadian, american, etc heads up tournement)-someone know a website with all those informations? :)Some of you guys ever participate to one of those tournements?

There is a heads up event at

There is a heads up event at the WSOP every year.  The buyin is usually $10,000 USD and I believe they cap the entrants at 128 or 256, but I'm not sure of the exact number (may be higher). It's not exactly "best player of the year" considering it's one tournament with tons of variance (though I'm sure WSOP would love to advertise it like that and probably do).Last year it wasn't televised, this year I am not sure.As for other tournaments, there are plenty if you look around.  At most major tour tournaments I believe there's a good chance you'll find a heads up tournament.  Aussie Millions, WSOP circuit events, Belgian/London poker tournaments have had HU MTTs during them and many more.Perhaps we can post information about these tournaments on a separate page, but due to the high buyin and the locational challenges of many of these tournaments (example say 8% of users are in England, well an English tournament only interests 8% of them and if the buyin is 10k it likely does not interest any of our users but a handful) I don't think the members would benefit from having this information, or rather an hour or two spent searching for applications (or designing a few ideas to be developed) is probably better spent than organizing all the tournies and links into one spot.  It is an idea though, one that I will revisit and ponder.

There are some smaller ones,

There are some smaller ones, but location prevents a lot of users from being interested.I do have a few ideas, however.

It's not exactly "best player of the year" considering it's one tournament with tons of variance (though I'm sure WSOP would love to advertise it like that and probably do). By the way the WSOP main even is ALOT of variance and they call it the best player of the year ;)
