What are general minimum flatting hands at effective stacks of 15-25bb? Let's say Villain is raising 65% of buttons. Are we flatting with the intention of playing nearly fit or fold? Or do we need to get into complicated mind games? Since us beginning/intermediate players are really spewy when it comes to playing mind games, I'm guessing we need to do away with that completely, so what are good ranges for us?I realize this general question is very hard to answer...but try to give general ranges knowing that we understand that "it depends".Are there any specific hands that should almost always be flatted here?
I'm a french guy and i begin to play many superturbos SNG-Hu...1rst> If your guy is raising more 2/3 of the time, i may begin to shove wider over his minraises hands like Ax...every pairs and even more (more or less high suited connectors), if his calling range looks tight enough below 20%.I think, in this case even 32o is a +ev quite easy shove! demonstrations already made in many posts around here and 2+2 forums...2ND> if hegot alimping range and minraised around 40/50% with some openfolds, take care for his minraising range might be quite strong. In this case, CALL wider ,you will be dominated less often if some R10/R5...DV/D8..V10/V7 ..or 10-9/8 may be now in his limping range and h raisesecome more polarized. So,more calls and more little 3bets for value (calling a shove) or as a bluffDepends of opponent and 20/25bb, i may flat as wide of some DV10987....combinations ofcards and even more if suited.RV is a std call for 25bb and a raise/shove in <15bb, i think. Effective stacks do matter a lot, i guess.
I'm not clear what R5, DV etc. mean? MW
Sorry, as i said, i'm French. R=King. D=queen, V=jack.looooool...
If by fit or fold you mean peeling or check/shoving close to any gutshot or better, then yes. Play fit-or-fold. Don't float with complete air.Your calling range is mostly affected by your opponent's raising range, but vs a 70% open range, it's probably something like 56s+ 57s+ 78o+ 79o+, and shoving over Ax Kx (depends on blinds etc) and Qxs, and defending part of that range.
