My opponent here is a very good player. He is winning player on 100$ and 200$ with more than 2000 games on each of those limits. I don't know why but lately he is playing regulary on my level which is 34,5$ and I played against him couple of times before. What do you think should I call here? I assumed that he is pushing at least according to Nash so I make that call. I really don't have any solid proofs that he's pushing according to Nash we played about 300 hands still didn't see any hand that would prove my assumption, but I thought because he is a good player he probably does it. If he is a good player, then he will be adjusting to you. With this in mind, you need to ask yourself what range he thinks you will call with 8bb deep.Based upon your play in this match, does he view you as likely to call wider or narrower than Nash? I do not know your ROI, but he likely has looked that up and knows roughly what stakes you play. However, again depending on your ROI and stakes level, he won't automatically assume that you follow Nash to any degree. It may be that he has other plans. I'm not well-versed on endgame play yet, but I was watching a Cog Dissonance Super Turbo Video yesterday where he open-folded J5s 8bb deep. (Nash says shove at 14.7). So these guys aren't auto-shoving even under 10bb deep according to Nash. Also, this hand is right at the Nash borderline of being a call vs. a Nash shove. It is, in fact, an insignificant amount below being a call. If I'm not mistaken, Nash ranges are based upon stacks before blinds are posted, but this is a minor point here.Anyway, my point is that this (presumably) better opponent is trying to find ways to exploit your tendencies.
My name is locked on sharkscope so he can't find me there. I know that he will adjust according my play and I seen him adjusting a lot so far so i've been mixing my game also a lot. I definitely think that he didn't expect me to have such wide calling range, but if he didn't that means he should shove even more than according to Nash.
If you've seen him shoving a decent amount already in the end game, particularly 6-10bbs deep, and you've been on the tighter side, I would certainly call here and just follow the Nash Caller chart until you've gained some added information that you can use to deviate from the Nash Caller chart profitably. If you're playing too tight he can take advantage of that by shoving wide, so if that appears to be what has happened, or if you don't have any indication that he's folding any Nash Pusher chart hands, then defaulting to the OOP calling ranges on Nash should be your best bet at this point in time.
