ok honnestly I dont see the avantage of teaming those: there is my point:lets talk about turbo games on FTP:22$ +1.50 4man: you win one, you lose one: you lost 3$22$+1 2man: you win one, you lose one: you lost 2$22$+1.50 4man: you win two, you lose one: you win 17.50$22$+1 2man: you win two, you lose one: you win 19$do you have more chance to win a 4man shoutout cause you team with another good player? hmmmm, maybe, less chance you both get badbeat/suckout I guess, but I dont think the avantage is huge. I made this thread to see you guys opinion about it, you have two choice:-play a 22$+1 2man versus a losing player-play a 22$+1.50 4man with another good player versus two losing playerswhat you take and why?
Teaming 4man's is only more +ev if your partner has a higher ROI than you, infact it tends to lower your ROI due to increased rake People do it just to lower variance + motivate them to grind + it's fun to make money with friends. No one ever said that teaming 4man's was more profitable than 2man's and it's deffinetly not more proffitable than soloing 4 man's.
i think you have the rake wrong.it is only 1.50 not 3$ for the first example
44$ - ((22$+1.50)x2)isnt it -3$? ;)
ok i get it.you mean loose a 4man and win a 4man.i thought win the first match of a 4 man and loose the second match.;) my mistake
Lets say you and your partner are equally good and you are playing $22+$1 4-man turbos. The odds on average of you/your partner winning the first match are 58%. The odds of winning the second match are 56%. There are two possible pairings in the first round. Pairing 1 you play your partner which means 100% of the time 1 of you is in the finals. Pairing 2 you and your partner each play a random. In pairing 1 - second round you or your partner win 56% of the time. In pairing 2 second round 33.64% of the time you play your partner and results don't matter, 17.64% of the time both you and your partner are out. The remaining 48.72% of the time one of you makes it to the finals with a 56% chance of winning. This means each players expected return is $5.44 per match or 11.82% ROI.If you compare this to 2-mans with a 58% win rate on average your profit will be $5.04 per two matches or 10.96% ROI.So your ROI is higher in the 4-mans with a partner than soloing the 2-mans. However, calculating hourly becomes more confusing as 1 4-man does not equal 2 2-man in terms of time. With the numbers provided each 4-man is worth 1.62 2-man interms of time. This does not include wait times for them to fill and for the second table to finish. But if they were to fill as fast as 2-mans they would be MUCH more profitable per hour. I would say that if your partner is better than you than this should be an attractive option for you as a player. If you are more skilled than your opponent then you should stay away from them.MW
Teaming only helps with variance unless your partner has better RoI than you. Otherwise 1-manning 4man games is the same as teaming. 4man games have less rake and allows for better winrates in the long run but can lower your hourly with the wait time.
