Hi,I have a question about c-bet sizes that is bothering me for a while now. In some videos (here or elsewhere), coaches c-bet different size on different flop/opponent tendencies etc.. Example: Bet 1/2 when you expect the 1/2 to do the same job as 2/3 and that you don't have a hand (hear that a lot in videos). Then later in the match, bet 2/3 for value etc...Recently, I watched a video from a coach here (ITRIEDetc..) who stated that it was very important to keep the c-bet size always the same so the opponent would not catch on it (very logical). So my question is? In your opinion, till what stakes would you use different c-bet sizes without most opponents noticing? For the low stakes, is it ok to use different c-bet sizes or should I make an habit to keep my c-bet size the same no matter what flop/opponent/game flow etc...I hope that makes sense. Thanks
Personally I use two different c-bet sizes and value bet sizes. About half pot on a dry board and about 3/4 pot on a wet board. So board texture is number one thing that affects my flop bet size. My opponet's post flop play could cause me to change my 3/4 pot bet size up or down.I think the main thing is to not adjust you bet size based on hand strenght. Although against weak opponents who don't pay attention and have no clue, you can get away with betting small when bluffing and betting large when value betting, but I would not recommend getting into the habit of betting like that.PaulIB_FishingAlways check with a professional being accepting any advice from me
I try to add a disclaimer to that each time I mention it... It is effective until you have a reason not to change your sizing. For example, if someone is calling a lot of flops, floating, calling with gutshots, etc (loose caller out of position basically) then it is perfectly fine and actually recommended to bet a larger % of the pot. This will get extra value out of those players and charge them more for calling so light.

Mix your bet size can fuck the brain of your opponent , if he believe you bet pot whit all your good hand and mix to a demi-pot to make him believe you are week , thats a powerful tool ... Just need to find your way to mix all the option !! 1/41/23/4potpot + 1/4pot + 1/2 over bet all in Poker is a game of deviation and adjustment , dont be scary to try something new !! and keep looking your mistake and learn .
