so heres my latest backround, i played 50 nl hu with 2000 dollars and tilted away a 1000 dollars.so i started playing 10 dollar hu (deep) sngs and im now at 1500 dollars.ive run good probably but i crushed the 10 dollar hu sngs, took only like 5 days to win 500.ive beaten nl50 hu before but tilt issues has always kept my roll at that level (or lower). so i believe i beat 20 dollar hu sngs.so is my bankroll sufficient for 20+1 hu sngs? my plan is to play hu sng until rolled for nl 50 hu and always if i fall back, grind up again with hu sng. ps. sorry if english is messed up
Your plan sounds perfectly fine as long as you can move down if you start to lose and tilt away matches. If you continue to move up and tilt (as you mentioned before), no matter how good you are you will almost certainly never do well.I'd suggest staying with heads up sngs too. That doesn't mean never play heads up cash, but if you get to the $50-100 levels in husng, you can make some pretty good money. 50NL you may say the same about, but the rake can be killer at that level. 100NL is probably the best combination of action and reasonable rake, from what I am told, but action really starts to die off above 200NL, so the action may be capped quite a bit.
If you are a winning HUSNG player your bankroll is more than fine - literally no risk of ruin for what i know. But another question comes to my mind:I am not in to mood to make the math right now, but is the rake at 50NL HU not insane? Maybe you should stick to sng`s until you can play at least mid limits cash game. Maybe I am totally wrong
thanks for the replies.yes the rake is a bit outrageous in nl50 hu but i was able to still beat the game.maybe ill just stay with hu sngs then, atleast until rolled for nl 100 hu.a little off topic, does anyone of you guys have premium membership? is this site worth the money if i wanna stick with sngs?im a bit unsure because im playing just 10-20 dollars, so im not sure if i can afford it yet. also, ive played like 200 plo hu sngs before and people are just terrible --> big winrate. so do you know if theres any action higher up in these games? like 50-100 dollar sngs.
I'll let others reply to your question specifically, but the standard membership should be more than fine for you given your stakes. There's plenty of content in there for any player that isn't beating the $100+ levels. The premium membership of course has more advanced and higher caliber videos, but members can respond with their opinions for that.
Leipuri, standart membership is fine for stakes, you're playing. When you'll move up in stakes, IMHO premium membership worth it.I heard that "Hokiegreg" video pack is good and helpfull, many players like his thinking process.but if you're going to buy his video pack, you should definitely think about getting premium, so video pack included with premium membership.peace
if you play HUSNG there is no comparable site to this one :)
A membership on this site is well worth it! Get the standard membership for your stakes and then if you like the videos and wanna move up in stakes purchase the premium membership. A lot of the concepts in the premium videos can even be applied to the $20s.
thanks for all the replies !
If you are still learning HUSnG then get the level that allows you to watch MWJ006 series on beating the Midstakes. In my not so humble opinion this is must see video for anyone still learning this game. If I was helping a friend with thier HUSnG game, I would absolutely make them to watch this series. Don't let the Mid-Stakes title fool you. This is mandatory information for up and coming HUSnG players. If you can't afford it, then pawn something. This series will help you make enough money to buy a new one of whatever you have to pawn (if you actually apply the knowledge of course).PaulIB_FishingLoving MWJ006 Midstakes series!
ill check them out as soon as possible. thanks for the advice !
