I really think i should have barrelled the turn as well. What could I have done different to make my river decision easier???

I think as played you have

I think as played you have to bet the turn as well, and reevaluate from there.

I would also think about

I would also think about betting closer to 120 on the flop rather than the half pot bet of 90, especially against a player that isn't playing a lot looser to your half pot bets versus 2/3 sized bets.I agree with eejit about the turn bet.

ok so I fire 120 on the flop.

ok so I fire 120 on the flop. I should have fired around 300 on the turn.  Do we still jam this river.  It seems to me that I should because Kx isn't going to show up all that often.  Does my logic make sense??Thanks

What do you think he does

What do you think he does with draws facing a larger flop bet of 120 and a turn bet of 300 into a 420 pot?

I think he's just going to

I think he's just going to call down. I'm OOP so if I snap shove he's going to go "Got ya fish" and I get pwnd once again.  But on the other side checking just seems so weak and gives him the oppurtunity to jam on me

I would prefer a bigger

I would prefer a bigger flopbet, a bet on the turn aswel and on the river I think I made a little blockbet  when get raised you can fold easier

The problem with that Monk,

The problem with that Monk, is that the river pot is so huge vs the effective stacks if you bet the flop and turn large (which I do think is correct btw). The river kind of sucks because you lose action from weaker hands so often and fushes are obviously made for stronger hands.I would bet the flop and turn larger and check fold the river to be honest.  What is he bluffing that calls the flop and turn when you bet strong?  It's rare that players turn stuff like 7x into a bluff in these situations, and pretty rare for somebody to call down two streets then shove with something that doesn't have showdown value or didn't flush.
