He was playing rather tight, straightforward poker. I usually play very LAG, so it was my image in this game. And he probably knew that I was capable to make f.e 3/4 pot bluff on the river with air on occassion. I didn't believe he had a king there, as the flop and turn were IMO clear raise spots for him.I usually try to mix my game as often as possible and donkbets on the flop here from time to time. On the turn I hit quite decent pair so i decided to 2nd barrel to take some value from his draws or middle pairs like Tens. Thanks, L
i'd bet sth like 220-280 to get calls from 7x/Tx. I dont think he will call a big bet here.
Flop donk is pretty marginal, but I'll let it slide (I don't want to criticize a strategy I don't use a lot just because I don't use it a lot. It seems at least plausible that it's a good way to play the hand, although we only really fold out Ax/low pp on the flop and are getting called quite a bit given the connectedness).Weak kings/AQ/QJ/Q9/89/T6 are the main hands to worry about with the river bet. I think the better question, rather than "does he think I am capable of making a 3/4 river bet with air" is does he think you're capable of making a 2/5 pot river bet with air? (the side question being, does he think about that stuff at all). He may actually fold a lot of Tx/7x to any size if not, and check/folding is the best option. I either like a smaller bet or check/fold without additional reads.
