hello everybody!that's my first post here :)so... as you can read i'm trying to find out, how to find out the rake in % for a 4-man-shootout husng... let's take a look at an example:regular husng: $100 + $5 --> 5 % rake 4-man-shootout: $100 + $5 --> ? % rakefirst i thought, that it must be 5%, too.. so it would be the same rake..... but then i was thinking, that it can't be 5%, because you play two games (semifinal & final)... so my thought was, that if y pay $5 rake for two games, the rake must be 2,5 % ... but now i'm doubting, that this is correct, because you play only two games, when you win the semifinal... so the expectation to play two games is 50% ... so let me make an example:i play four 4-man-shootouts.... in theory i should win 1 out of 4, which are 25%.... and in theory i play 6 games in four 4-man-shootouts, because in 50% of all shootouts i'll reach the final.. what means that i play 2 games ..... so let's say we play like the expectation... i play four shootouts and win one and loose the other three... the resullt is, that i'm even minus $20 rake ... so.. if i play 6 regular husng's and i win 3 games and lose 3 games, i'm also even, but minus the rake of $30$so. we have $20 rake out of 6 games ($600) which are 4 tourneys ... that makes a rake of 3.33 % ... but this percentage is variable... it's only, if you win exactly 50% of yoursemifinals... so... if you win more than 50% of the semifinals, the rake in % would be less... if you win less than 50% of he semifinals, the rake in % would be moreso.. that's how i see the way to find out the rake in % of a 4-man-shootout..... but i'm not 100% sure, if the way i calculated it are correct ... but i have a good feeling about it! so is my way i did find out correct? maybe we need a math-student :) what are your opinions?
Can't see what difference it makes? The rake to enter one shoot-out is the same as entering one hu sng. If you got a prize after winning the first match you might consider it, but for all intents and purposes the rake is 5% of your buyin for a shootout.
but i think it's relevant how many games you playfor example:i play one 4-man-shootout... i loose the semifinal... result 5$ Rakenow the same for e regular husng: i loose my game... result: 5$ Rakenow.. i play once again a 4-man-shootout... i win the semifinal, loose the final... result: 5$ Rakeand the same for a regular husng: i win first, then i loose... result: 10$ Rake
think you answered your question by yourself already.of course the rake is 5% :)but the average rake per game should be if we assume u play 1,5 per average 4 man (50%winrate first game)so the rake should be 3,333% IMO Edit: Ohhh you really answered your question already :) that comes from not reading the full post and aswering too quickly
that's what i mean... the expected rake (if you win exactly 50% of your semifinals) is 3.33% for a 4-man-shootoutfor example... someone plays 1million regular husngs.($10 + $1)... so he pays 1million dollar rakelater he changes the games.. he will play 1milllion husng games at 4-man-shootouts.. now he pays less than a million dollar rake.. except he looses all of his million games :)
