Hello,I just become a member of this training site. So far I used to play 9-man turbo stt, but after like 3k games I found me a breakeven player, so I decided to take a shoot at another sng format - HUSnG. I would like to start with super turbo hu at FTP, cos I preffer fast blind structure. The plan is to play ~3k those to see do I have any edge on those and can I manage to play those with positive ROI in long term.I will start to play the micro stakes with 1$ (inc. rake) buy-in. I do like conservative BR, so I will start with 200$ BR.(Any suggestions on this - 200 buy-in BR is ok, or I should decrase/increase it?)Certainly I have a lot of questions about this game, but I believe to many of them the answers could be found in learing videos on this site, so, for know the most important question is - Please suggest me with what videos I should start the learning process and in what order to get the best results?Good luck @ tables!Jack3d
With that bankroll I would suggest starting with the 5s. There isn't any skill difference and you are going to get killed with rake at the 1s. When I started on this site I began with $100 playing the 5s and I generally move up when I have 65 buy ins for the next level but I'm a little nittier than most.
Thanks for your comment, I will consider this. But is the rake really so bad? I used to play 9-man stt with 10% rake, so here 5% doesn't seems so bad...
It is extremely bad if your looking to grind super turbos the rake will definetly kill you at the 1 dollar games even the 5 dollar games aren't the greatest in super turbos although the players do tend to be extremely weak.
sorry but I don't understand this, how super turbos can be so bad, if I compare the rake with normal speed vs super turbo - then super turbo rake is twice less than normal speed.
Basically, one regular speed game = three super turbos in terms of buy in to bankroll ratio. In super turbo format, your variance is going to be far more than twice as bad, and a decent roi will be far more than twice as difficult to maintain. The swongs you encounter will be more than twice as long, too, so you may never have a clue as to whether or not you're a winning player in them. A 3k sample is NOTHING in super turbo formats. If you want to figure out if you're a winning heads up player or not, try normal speed games. You definitely still want to take rake percentage into account when deciding on stake levels and sites on which to play. Super turbos are also very likely to leave a bad taste in your mouth if you jump into them right out of the gates. GLGL :)
