$10/$20 No Limit Holdem • 2

Vilain is a regfish and hates me cuz ive been owning him over and over and over. He is the kind of guy to call 3bets with 82o & so on. Is it standard to call on river here even vs him ? It's a 100€ game. $10/$20 No Limit Holdem • 2 Players Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter BBHero$1790.00  BTNGrosdoigts$1210.00  Effective Stacks: 61bb Pre-Flop ($30.00, 2 players) Hero is BB Grosdoigts raises to $40.00, Hero calls $20.00    Flop ($80.00, 2 players) Hero checks, Grosdoigts bets $53.00, Hero calls $53.00    Turn ($186.00, 2 players) Hero checks, Grosdoigts bets $140.00, Hero calls $140.00    River ($466.00, 2 players) Hero checks, Grosdoigts bets $311.00, Hero calls $311.00    Final Pot: $1088.00 Hero shows Grosdoigts shows Grosdoigts wins $1088.00 ( won +$544.00 ) Hero lost -$544.00

Sucks, but I'm not playing

Sucks, but I'm not playing the hand differently at all unless you have reads that he's not capable of triple barrel bluffing. Some regs do have really nitty ranges that are far too value oriented, but I'm calling without additional information. If this c-bet size isn't standard for him, you can take advantage of smaller c-bets, which will generally be weaker.

I think I just give up on the

I think I just give up on the turn. The jack improves a lot of T9/J9/JT type stuff he might flat the flop with, and I think trying to fold out a 7 isn't the best idea readless. So basically, there aren't enough hands in his range that we need to bet against for bet/call to be good.

I prefer smaller on the flop,

I prefer smaller on the flop, and that will set up a better ratio going forward, your shove on the river is fairly small and there's actually a decent chance you had the best hand here, with him calling down with Kd or Jd. People love to call with their pairs when draws miss and I'm not sure how often Tx is folding to these sizings. Smaller on the flop is all you need to accomplish what you want to accomplish.

Welcome, Rachid! Let's look

Welcome, Rachid! Let's look at some hands.T9: I'm not folding. You only need to be good about 30% of the time (ask if you dont know how to calculate). I mean I think you will be beat a lot here, but folding is WAY to exploitable when we are readless vs really anyone. If you call down a few times in this spot and find him to have big hands always - and his frequency of barreling you in these spots is relatively low - then I think you can start making these folds.KQ: I would 3bet a little smaller at these effective stack sizes to make sure we get called by a wide range that we dominate. I would 3bet to 150ish with my KQ/KJ/QJ/JJ+ -- bigger 3bet size would be to 170-175 with AJ+/99-TT/bluffs. You can find more discussion on these sizing differences in one of my recent videos: HokieGreg Full Student Analysis Part 1 w AggsyB.Postflop, I like your cbet size. Turn is a terrible card for us as it really hits a lot of hands he can be flatting JT/J9/T9 etc. Also, your barrel size sets you up to never be able to jam the river with air since you can't really expect any fold equity. Definitely check/fold turn.AK: Eh, we are going to be in some bad spots postflop if he flats this 4bet size - his J9/QJ/T8s is going to flat and realize equity too well. I think a bigger size is best and allows us to get stacks in pre/post much easier. I would 4bet to 450-500ish. If i had QQ-AA i would 4bet to about 320 fwiw, expecting villain to never fold - we play obv a ton easier post with these hands.
