I was wondering what a 5% ROI+ 1st and 2nd Place percentage looks like. Right now i'm focusing on $6 Turbo HU SnG's and have done 109 so far. My ROI is -3.3% and climbing due to watching videos here and reading HU SnG by Collin Moshman. Currently I have 50.5% first and 49.5% second. What is a good ratio of those to shoot for to be a winning player. Looks like right now rake is what's making me negative Thanks! If something didn't make sense let me know and I'll try to clarify
55% win rate would be slightly above 5% for turbos. I think it would be about 5.6% roi.You have to win approximately 53% of your games to beat the rake at any stake. **The 53% does not include rakeback deals**You can put all the #'s into a spreadsheet pretty quick. The spreadsheet I use calculates ROI, win% on a daily and monthly basis. I won't go into all the formulas but it's pretty simple to create. I kept detailed sheets before I got HEM.
Just to note that the key on the variance calculator page uses examples for the old standard stars turbo structure (so $110 + 5 or $10 + .50). Winrate for different ROIs changes as rake changes.
Sounds like I got some work to do. That variance is annoying and tilts me so I have to take breaks a good amount, lol. Like AA getting beat by TT or KQ with a K on flop vs A6o rivering an A, lol.I guess I can just play my best and hope with more time and learning I come out on top :P
