First off, I am really impressed with your forums, especially for the lack of flaming and general rudeness found on other forums, ie. 2p2, etc. The promptness and quality of replies to forum posts by HUSNG coaches is some of the best I have found. Keep up the good work guys....On a seperate note, I read somewhere in this forum that Merge network is probably the best choice for US players right now, but that some were having trouble with Carbon and switched to Blackchip. Which site do you guys prefer these days for US players? I am an ex-Partpoker and now ex-Pokerstars US player looking for a decent site for low stakes husngs, preferably with rakeback even though I do not do large volume anyway.
Thanks for the kind words about the forum. Since we sponsor 2p2, we don't focus as much on the traffic of the forum, but myself and the other coaches do try to make sure every thread has a good response in it, whether it's from a member, non member or coach themself. That way people always know they can come here and get a response that should range from OK to great. If the environment changes online and we're in need of a higher traffic volume on the forums, we'll pour some resources into that and I believe we'll have a good foundation to build upon. Now to your question, Merge:Anything to do with cashout, deposit, xfer, etc. I think all merge skins are equal pretty much (some may have limited processing ability on their own, but I think most are processed by the network, could be a bit off on that though, just what I've heard).Customer support, I've found that black chip has been great. Players should use their VIP email address and they get back to you with a real reply very fast. Merge as a network is much smaller than FTP or PS were pre black friday, and add to that there are dozens of skins that make up the network, so you can get a really personal experience on some skins.Promos should be pretty equal across the board. At various times there's probably a few % difference between best and good deals on these skins, depending on the player's personal situation (some promos may be better for MTTers, some might be better for SNG players, etc.). The bad news is that the merge network is NOT taking new US signups for the time being. This started in early June and they said it would take a month. However, many initially said it would be closer to the entire summer. I wouldn't be surprised if they opened it up next week, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was another month or two.
Thanks for the lengthy reply. Quality responses to forum posts > Forum traffic....imho..I, like many others, come here to learn, and not so much for the social aspects. It can be tough to learn when forum threads contain so many pages of back and forth social banter. Spending an hour looking through a 100 page thread for those 2 pages of good analytical posts is such a waste of time. I understand it is entertainment for those who have lots of time on their hands, but for learning it just is not an efficient use of time.So are there any sites currently taking US players you could recommend or should I just wait for Merge? Thanks again....
If Everleaf has enough action, it would be soft and 40% rakeback.I'm hesitant on Cake, there's a big player issue there with 60k (just google it) on 2p2 and Cake has responded pretty poorly and unless that user gets paid, I'm really not sure it's worth playing there.Bodog is OK, but they don't offer rakeback and exercise some limitations for winning players (thus limiting ceiling) so if you're here to beat the games to your fullest potential, Bodog only goes to $100s and I believe they restrict multi tabling).
