Hey guys, no real reads on villian, hes started of strong, min raising every btn, so i know he has a wide rangeIs this a rehove? This flop hardly hits villian at all, i stoved it giving him a 50% btn range we get about 57% equityhttp://www.pokerhand.org/?6154990 im not sure how to post hands in here
Easy shove preflop. And it is not enough to pokerstove your hand vs his opening range. You have to make a little deeper calculations, because he is notcalling you with his entire opening range. One suggestion: Search in the internet (2+2) the insane steves 3-bet-shove spread sheet or download the free trial of propokertools (propokertools is a little bit better because it uses card removal) and play around with different opening% and callingshove% numbers. You will learn alot from those exercises
thanks manlast question, is it an easy shove because the pot reps about 15% of are stack?
don't think in % of stacks, just think in eff stack sizes, in your case the eff stack size is something like 24 BB. With 24 BB and and sweet 3 BB lying alright there it is easy becausea) you crush his opening rangeb) you do very good against his calling rangeIn HUSNG against aggro openers once you are shallow you can't call profitable with low pp. But shoves are highly profitable. btw: Have you tried out the calculations with the spreadsheet? There you can try what happens if stacks are deeper and opponent calls your shove tighter and you will really clearly see why it is easier to shove it 24BB deep or let's say 75BB deep.
i cant find the spread sheets, i was trying to search through 2p2 but come up with nothing
