JFC.Thanks for sharing, what an incredibly stupid decision on Jose's part. Just insane, the money he could have made with this little scam is nothing compared to the equity he is losing with his reputation now going down in flames...
The story probably isn't totally over. His explanation of his DQ on that challenge was also lacking all this time. I only skimmed it, but looked like he clearly was involved in chip dump/rigging to win that (his admission I believe was that a backer logged into his account and played some inconsequential games and that's why he got DQ'd, that has a massive amount of holes in it... who gives backers their pw if they are HS trustworthy guys, who has a backer playing 1000NL or whatever if they have made 1-2 mil in the last year... and why would he be DQ'd for a few inconsequential PLO hands... also he was playing lower stakes until the very end, when he was way behind on the challenge, moved up super high and won on the last day I believe...).So yea, probably not fully over. Bump this if you hear of any update in that NVG thread please, those massive threads are a good way to lose hours of work and I've made that mistake too many times in the past (brandy, stoxtrader, bbv threads like the stab foot thing, etc.).
the guy really does seme to have some mental issues with regard to ethics from reading the skype chat's posted. i majorly looked up to him and thought he was the dog's bollocks at everything. also an hour ago i woulda said it was near impossible that dogishead/jungleman were involved in this but it's getting more and more likely as more info is coming out.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions about others. He did try to steal from his poker "friends" after all. He tried to scam Sauce123 right before he got caught too and Sauce123 gave him free coaching through chat as well as good words. Jungleman and others are more likely victims than implicated. And the huge difference is that guys like Jungleman are proven winners for large sums and in HU where cheating isn't a concern.http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29/news-views-gossip/cliff-notes-portu...

Yea, stupid situation and a reminder that you should never let down a basic security guard/filter and really know who you associate with. Things inevitably can happen no matter how careful you are, but it's good to be aware and active with account security/money.
Bumping this. Basically what I said in post 2 just came out, DogisHead admitted to chip dumping 100k to Girah to win the challenge back in April. He released a statement with a bunch of other phony looking explanations (things that make no sense).
Remaining questions off the top of my head:Why was the name SamChauhan really chosen as the account name to dump the 100k to Jose to win the challenge? Haseeb said he thought it was funny and a joke bc the guy doesn't play online (Sam Chauhan is a mental game coach for players like Phil Helmuth and Adam Jungleman, the latter which is involved to some extent in this story so far).Haseeb claims to have dumped it only bc Jose couldn't get the money online, he had to get it to him for staking he claims. But why wouldn't a pro be able to put 100k onto the site? If a pro couldn't why would a brand new random account be able to get 100k onto the site? And then chip dump 100k right away to the pro? That makes no sense.Speaking of the 100k, how did that really get onto the site? How does somebody put 100k onto a poker site, bank wire? Was it transferred from another account(s)? Elseware?Where was Merge network security? Where was lock poker security? Lock supposedly audited the account after the challenge, wouldn't a brand new account with a 100k deposit and chip dump to Jose be kind of... obvious? There's a bunch of other stuff, I dunno, I'll try to check back over the next few days and update if any of those questions have been answered. Those seem to be some of the lingering questions around this thing.
Updates: Jungle says he played on the samchauhan account i think? Subjectpoker has a long interview with Jungle where he admits something to that effect.I'm not even going to bother with other updates at this point unless something truly major happens here, but suffice to say, there are still many outstanding questions to be answered and those involved are still responding in a way that suggests they are hiding something else of significance.
This whole issue/story is mindboggling to me. How highly intelligent guys like haseeb/ Jungleman etc get themselves involved in these sketchy potent. -EV "trusting" games is mindboggling even to someone of barely aver. intellig. like myself. Poker is naturally a game of deception and it amazes me how many people end up making deals in this world, considering the inherent nature of it. If ur bored...get a blowjob god damnit and feel better!!
Jungle involved himself with Haseeb who looks like he masterminded this little puppet game of the "Prodigy." At least that's what it looks like.
