hello, tell me,please, how should I set HM filters to find biggest leaks, villain's and mine. I'm new and have a little idea what are most important stats among hundreds of them. What kind of notes on villain can I and have to make analizing HM hand histories?
This standard membership video by Mersenneary really goes over your question in expert detail.I would answer you if I could in a quick, non referencing way, but I'd have to watch the video to really answer your question (the video goes over PT, but I'm sure you can find the same types of filters in HEM to analyze). There's two other videos in that series by Mersenneary, but those two are premium level videos. If you don't plan on watching the videos any time soon, start with 3-bet %. Find the types of hands you're 3betting in HEM and tell us what they are. Give us your stakes and # games sample too and make sure to give us "out of how many instances" type info when you talk about this (for example: I 3bet 98s 4% out of 102 instances; stuff like that is what you want to list). From there we can talk about some general 3-bet theory and then get into some individual hands that you played perhaps. We can do all of that in this thread.
Hello people, i played the hyper turbos at stars now for a little while, my samplesize at $7 and $15 is about 1,5k games. I have the exact same problem: not really knowing how to start of analyzing my hands in HEM.I watched the mers video 23, only the first one cause i have only the standard membership. So i took the advice, filter for position, i get the following bb/100: BB = 1.5; SB = 3.7When i look at the bb/100 for positions at effective stacks i get a strange result: BB SB overall20-25bb 1.5 9 5.413-19bb 10 -3 3.81-12bb -5 3 -1.2Looks like a weird shift, when stacks get shorter i start loosing at sb and winning at bb. Overall i have to improve my game for short effective stacks i guess? Any advice how to do that?Regarding RyPacs post above i tried to filter for 'could 3-bet=true' in HEM and i get the following results:3-bet % = 18.4bb/100 = -23.8Seems like i lose a lot when facing a raise preflop oop. Ok, but where to go from here? I guess the samplesize is too small to analyze specific hands. For example i lost most with J8o, 3-betting 8.6% over 58 hands. Doesnt say much to me. But maybe that i overvalue middleish offsuit hands out of position and should play a bit thighter there? As you see, i am not really sure how to approach this. I also dont have a lot experience with HEM. Mainly used it for looking at ROI and graphs and occasionally reviewing hands, rather than doing anything with filters etc. If someone has any hint where i can find info about this topic please post. thanks!
