Ok, so I have played 2 previous games with this guy recently. He raises pre 60% (ip) and limps the bottom 40% of his range and doesnt open fold anything. He also never l/f to 3x (I have probably limp raised him about 6 times over the 3 games).He's kind of passive post and a poor player in general. He's almost fof but will call with any thin draws, ie gutshots on dangerous boards for the first 2 streets, however much of his stack he has to commit and whatever the board texture.With his TP's and and stronger (even trips, straights etc) he bets really, really small over 3 streets, like just over min even when its obv I have something. I have never seen him change this and have no reason to think he is capable of adjusting or mixing up his play. He does this oop too by donking flop and the turn, riv. With a weak limping range (that also calls a ton pre) he'll have a lot of 9x and weak FDs here I think.You've played him 6 games, if your reads are that certain go with them and call.
This was my 3rd game against him, but about the 6th time I had raised his limp over the games.It's just a spot I wanted to check as I never really thought about it too much and just saw it as standard call and have never been able to compare data in the same spots with the same type of notes to see if its in fact profitable. This occassion he had 7h4h.
It is a good call with your reads, but I wouldn't go as far as name it a standard call.
I think this must be a fold for the following reasons:1. He has plenty of K2-K7 etc in his range.2. If he ever bluffs this way, we are going to have some HUGE +EV spots in the near future. I think that alone makes up for any (if any) EV lost here by folding. Especially since its early in the game.3. If folding and calling are close in EV, folding will be way lower variance.

I think I can rule out alot of the Kx as I imagine most of that is made up of his 60% PFR range. I was worried about some raggy Qx's but I just thought that was such a small part of his range compared to what else he could have here and compounded with the fact that I have just never seen him do anything like this for value (completly out of charater for him as he bets much smaller). I basically ruled out any Kx or Qx which means I'm winning or chopping.The points 2 and 3 that you made is the main reasons I posted this hand. I think i would fold.... As already said if you had reads to make that call then its ok but you did not need to risk that ammount of chips. You need to ask yourself why would he do that bet? I think theres a simple answer, he's donk! So what was the result bytheway?
If your going to go ahead and make this most hero of hero calls... you have to have to start that song by Skillet and play it in the background and hit the call button as soon as he says he has a Hero living in him. If you are right, just let the whole song play and just soak in that shit. If you are wrong... quickly switch the song to something like IHeardJoeBlows-Love Your Face.P.S. Not really sure what your getting at here? with my reads I just thought it was very unlikely he had Qx or Kx so don't actually see it as that much of a hero call. Your the guy that I spoke to on skype about the study group right? the night before you put this post up?? and I said that I didn't want to join anymore and waste your guys time as I was concentrating on hypers now. I think I may of made a good desicion if this is the advice in the study group ;)
