Hi,Going at my current volume rate I will not reach supernova. If I 1/2 tabled somebody for a bunch of games I would most likely reach Supernova. Any 60/100 player in the same situation and want to play a load of games at 60/100 turbo speed 1/2 tabling? Pokerstars 'the 1rake1'
Good luck with this.I remember doing this my first year, I think I played Hokie to keep Platinum Star back in the day too.Hell, it's a big reason why Harthor was doing his recent challenge vs Chadders (and open to others) I believe.
This is something you really should do in the first two quaters of the year. In those weeks pokerstars is checking very carefully if some1 is doing what you intend to do - since it is against there T&C I would be very carefull, especially if you dare to post your pokerstars nickname in a public forum.
Hi.
Just a notable information, fastest way to grind Supernova is probably CAP games, but if you have no clue about these you should probably stay away.
Fastest way should be 4-Tableing-5k$ Hyper-HU-SNGs :D
Hi.
PokerStars doesn't mind players agreeing to play each other to reach bonus levels. They may care if you are splitting profits on it or some other agreement. This is exactly what Harthor is doing though in his challenge against SkaiWalkurrr I believe, just getting end of year VPPs. Stars is smart in this regard, whereas some of the sites with sportsbooks are short sighted and only care about margins (and nickel and diming to get those margins), Stars realizes that if you can keep every customer happy you'll grow a lot faster and have a better long term outlook, and if you can do that by letting them do what they want (duh, people are happier when they can do what they want!) all the better.
The fact of the matter is that, Stars in the past has accepted that behaviour, because they want not to lose their VIPs. Stars also does tolerate useing pages like sharkscope and so on while running, because they only can proof it by screenshoting your computer, which leaked to the public and they had to answer hell of a lot of questions. BUT (!): Stars likes to pretend they do care for their own rules which is why, when an 'abuse' (like this thread is), is posted in public, they sometimes reacht very strict. The past has shown that. But it seems kinda unlikely that they would search a HU forum in that matter. The question is; what would they do, when someone would gave them a hint? Afterall, you have opponents here who might want you out of the picture. Unlikely that you get banned......by still you open a window in that regard.
Hi.
You are a bit misinformed!PokerStars got rid of enforcement on the Sharkscope policy because it was very unpopular among players. If what you say is true, then how would PokerStars enforce other programs that they currently prohibit? Sharkscope is a prohibited but unenforced (or perhaps it is now accepted, it's been pushing that way for years), and that's solely due to the popularity of the product and relatively harmless impact that it has.It took Stars awhile, but they finally seemed to target chat behavior from individuals that berate fish instead of a player's usage.I'll say it again, players can play each other anytime they want with their own action on Stars, whether to get VIP levels or just for fun. As long as they aren't colluding (swapping action, chopping), they run absolutely no danger in Stars being upset or taking away their VIP level or even warning them. Poker rooms LOVE these challenges, they bring the site publicity, especially among lower stakes, casual players (contrary to popular belief, casual players are not drooling at their keyboard, unaware of 2p2, they are reading the forums while at work and playing an hour or two at night, as one example). There's absolutely nothing wrong with what Harthor and Skai, PHMERC and bunza or Chadders and Harthor are or were doing, you could email Stars support and even ask them, you're not getting anybody in trouble, it's clearly allowed and even encouraged if anything.Cliffs, there is absolutely no abuse in playing the same player for thousands of games to get a VIP level if you are truly playing that opponent. This may change if you are swapping action, chopping or flipping, but playing the same player over and over again is perfectly acceptable, no matter if the players agreed to play beforehand or not, no matter if a primary goal is to get a higher VIP level.
Due to the terms & conditions of PokerStars (last updated 23rd November 2011), the use of sharkscope while running pokerstars is still prohibited. But lets end this now......I seem we are talking not about the same. Let me make it very clear; my assumption was, that he would flip on the 60/100 against an opponent he searches here. Otherwise, it would not make much sense too me, why he cannot find enough players for 2 tableing. You on the otherside think that he will play him normal - which, when this is true - of course is not prohibited. :)
Hi.
I didn't think he was asking to flip with anybody because he was asking to 1 or 2 table. Not a direct reason, but seems weird that he would mention 1 or 2 table if he wasn't planning to play them.I think people just want something set in stone/easy to motivate/easy to just hit rematch and grind in a lot of these end of year instances. But yea flipping or chopping is another thing entirely. I'm not sure if that's allowed or not, I've heard of people doing it and hearing it's OK to do and I think that makes sense, but I would get clarification from Stars before doing that, especially if going for SNE.
Because of Teaming in 4 Man-HU-SNGs two players have been get in the focus of PokerStars and were banned from PokerStars because of Team playing in 4 man HU SNG along (but not only because of) chip dumping in 6 man SNG.Just as a side notice, regarding the team playing in 4 man HU SNGs: PokerStars in the past kinda tolerated this behaviour (going all-in in every hand as soon as you play your mate, in order not to give any reads to your opponents while playing each other and watching the table of the other players intensly for studing their game, whiles your was over after one hand), official German PokerStars VIP Manager confirmed a couple of weeks ago that teaming in 4 Player-HU-SNG will be threated the same as collusion.Just to mention how 'quickly' PokerStars can act as stricht as possible regarding to the rules, if they get pressure from the outside. In this case a wave of complains started out from the german PokerStrategy community, because they reached place 1 and 2 in the merkur leader board, with the chip dumping. I suppose if the case would not hat been made that public, they might had spoken out a warning and banned them from the leader board for this 'season'.
Hi.
Teaming with 4 mans has been banned for a long time now. Over a year and a half ago I blogged about PokerStars change in this rule: http://www.husng.com/content/4-man-teams-stars-be-bannedThe rule change came about because a casual player on 2p2 made a thread about it in the heads up sng forum, most people responded telling him why it was allowed. He was upset and stubborn so he kept posting and complaining and eventually made a thread in News, Views and Gossip, which quickly got out of hand and resulted in enough emails, combined with previous complaints, for PokerStars to change the policy. So yes, 4 man teaming is not allowed, but no, it hasn't been allowed since around June of 2010. The rules initially weren't made very clear, it wasn't until early 2011 that players began receiving consistently correct emails about the rule change from PokerStars support. There should also be a bunch of threads on 2p2 (heads up sng forum specifically) talking about this (and maybe a few from the old heads up NL forum too).PokerStars has been quite tame in responses in these situations in my experience. Many players have been warned multiple times about this, without any action taken. In similar instances (players agreeing to chop in the chat, then one player reneging), PokerStars has actually bent the rules to help the player who was getting screwed (chat "chop" deals aren't allowed on Stars now either, this changed awhile back too) by the reneging opponent.I actually think they have it right too, since these rule changes aren't really publisized or announced well on PokerStars side (2p2, us, PS, others obviously try to get the word out in the community when we see stuff happen, but it leaves some in the dark), they shouldn't be taking a hard hand on people if the rule changes aren't very clear or made known to the players.
