Assuming a bankroll of 1500$ and playing the same in play $ amount per hour:
- Playing the Turbos @ the 60$ level (25BI)
- Playing the Hyper @ the 15$ level (100BI)
- 5 games per hour single tabling the Turbos
- 20 games per hour single tabling the Hyper
- 60$*5=300$/hr
- 15$*20=300$/hr
- ROI/Winrate?
- Hourly$?
- Edge?
- Variance?
- Growth?
- Risk?
- Action?
- ???
I realize there is no clear question here... :)What I'd like to know is assuming the given numbers above, what would you choose to play in order to get the best hourly? If Hyper would be your choice, why?
25 BI turbos?why then HT 100? you can play HT with 1 BI! 1st - i'd compare 30T and 15HT;2nd - 5T per hour, 23HT per houreverything else will write someone else, cause i'm too lazy on average i guess with 3% roi HT you will make more $/h (10,35) -- you need to have 7% roi playing T to make it look similar. BUT HT have pretty sick downsings, you will play 2 months HT 4 h/day and on average you will have much more "-" months, than playing turbos.Action >60 is better @ HT, way better. But really - it's a pretty sick discipline, you're gonna have steel balls to grind them, and yeah - I really think so, and ye - it's like that, they are cruel. For all begginners - don't play them just because they can look fun and action-heavy, only if you like them like you love your mom or kinda.I'm gonna grind something like 40k HT in 2012 from $700 and 7HT till 200HT and 20k+ roll. For me it's gonna be difficult
Thanks. GL on reaching your goals in 2012! Balls of steel you'll end up with I'm sure.
yep, but i'm sure I can't answer all the question above.i wish someone else will say another opinion in that thread
Since I ask myself the same question once in a while, I herewith allow myself to push your thread, hopeing to receive an additonial answer :)
Hi.
Bump it baby!
Hi.
This is kind of a weird way to lay it out.First, I'd imagine turbos are 6 per hour single tabling, particularly at the lower levels (feel free to correct me there, haven't been able to get on Stars since the structure changes so I'm not 100% sure, but it used to be 6 per hour in 2010-2011 at least usually, 5 per hour a few years back). The buyins is backwards. I don't mean you should have 100 turbo and 25 hyper, but I mean you have no idea if you should use 25 buyins or 50 buyins for turbos, it all depends on your edge (the lower your edge, the more often you'll have stretches in the negative).I would recommend figuring out your estimated edge at the levels in the OP, and the levels directly above and below. Post your estimated edge and we'll start to dissect which games are even an option with your bankroll first, then look at some estimated hourlies.
I would dare to say that 6 games/h is a fair estimate at mid/high stakes. At micros however it would be more like 10 games/h.I believe also, if you dont have an edge early in turbos, or if you are way too nitty and end up way too often in push/fold phase, you can unfortunately make turbos a high variance game for you. But any somewhat solid player shouldn't have problem achieving over 5% ROI in turbos.
Last I saw most players were reporting under 10 minutes per game for turbos, that's why I mentioned 6hr.
