We paid him for videos through December 2009 that he didn't finish completely until May 2011. So we released them as we received them.I don't think he's made more than a few videos at CR and probably will make vids for both PS and CR in the future. I'm in the minority with this viewpoint, but I feel medium-strongly that this is good for both the games and this site. Sites like CR and PS are large, general sites that have a lot of casual players around. And getting more players into the game is generally good, as long as the structures aren't easily "solved" (they aren't), it means more money is put into the game and some % of winners will always benefit on that.If you try to close the system, get rid of education and videos and books and articles and open information, players will just flock to more popular formats and heads up sngs will become dead money regs lined up in the lobbies type setup.Moshman is over on PS too, also from CR (by way of Stox). Ditto to him on videos there, I think it's excellent (Collin has also said nothing but kind words about this site since it opened, he donated the hole card blocker to our members back in 2009).
Of course, you are right, that PST is a huge site and therefore this could be good for HU SNG in general. But the problem remains, that most of the HU SNG players from PST are playing on Stars and lots of them have to play untracked. Furthermore the Videos are released for Platinum+, which means for a player tracked on PokerStars that he has to create over $1000 Rake / month. I do not think that there are many HU SNG players on PST, with that volume, which do not have a membership here anyways. Bottom line; yes, there is recreational potential, but to be honestly I do not know at which 'level' this recreation would start.Regarding Colin.....I think he would never had joined PST if it would not had been for Douglas Zare (pzhon), who he worked on a book with, in the first place. Like as pzhon he does not seem to active in my opinion (at least it takes him forever to reply to messages ^^).
Ah good point on the tiers. The wider released stuff doesn't seem to happen too frequently there, so you're probably right, impact is probably small either way for all parties we're discussing.
We didn't, he left for Cardrunners about 18 months ago lol!
Then why did u release videos of him, just last may? *confused* :(
