How many games to play?

Hi everybody, I play Hyper turbo 5 € in stars. I usually play good at the begining (with average 5% till 15% ROI) and win , but the problem is I keep on playing and playing until I lose games consequencely . 1.What is the average amount of time and average amount of games you play (specialy Hyper turbo players) (you can answer in term of number of games, number of hands or amount of money you win/lose or etc.) (I know this question relate to emotion control and personal abilities but I just want to know what you think about it) 2.how do you understand that you are on tilt and you have to stop playing? (my idea : if I see I am making my old mistakes (like making obvous blufs, shove with nothing! , ....) ,I think it is the right time to stop) GL!, 5adegh

hi there the short answer is

hi therethe short answer is there is no correct way but frequent breaks should be taken if you wnat to play well at all timesthe best analogy was from jarred tendler who said that playing poker was like going to the gym you cant just rock up first day and start lifting the heavyest weights in there you start with the 12k weights and do as much as you can then go back in a couple of days and try and lift more. poker is sort of like that in that the biggest winners built up mental stamina which comes with time and started proly just playing a couple of hrs a day and slowly brought it up to play massive sessions.i would however surgest that you should break every hr or so and chill our for like 5 mins find a thing you do then thats not poker related for me its make tea some people smoke or do pushups though presumably not at the same time. hope this helps -Dan

I would be carefull with

I would be carefull with useing Jareds analogies for Hyper-Turbo HU SNG. Of course it is generally important input, but I think it is not designed for this type of play. Jared also recommends to play half of the amount of your tables dureing the first 30 minutes of your session - which is pretty pointless in my opinion if you decide to play one hour of HTs only.I personally paly as long as I am comfortable. Once I start makeing goofy plays, get distracted or take forever to evaluate situations I will finish up the tables, do something different and start playing again once I am all set, ready and willing to play.Personally I think this is the best way for someone who does not earn his liveing with Poker. For someone who is makeing his liveing with poker the conditions are different since there is the pressure that you *have* to play.
